Fennec Foxes - update for the 2009/2010 Shima Fennecs

The birthday fox is so lovely, I wish one of the "rioters" would let me trade for one. I personally love em, and even if I didn't whining won't change anything at all. We could ask politely to put them on more special lines but I don't think insulting anyone will help you all get your wishes ^^;

Saying "I don't like the new lines" isn't very respectful. What if someone told you they didn't like your art? The artists are doing their best, so please be nice. At least have the decency to say what exactly you don't like, otherwise all you're doing is being rude.

I didn't think I was 'whining' nor am I rioting. While I preferred parts of the old line art my only issue is that the design was incompletely translated and I believe it's lost something special in doing so and I'm not alone. While some people are expressing their displeasure in less than mature ways, most of us are either asking simply why it was left off.

Personally I don't think it needs special line art edits or anything like that, I just think it's an incomplete translation of the design. In the eyes of some it does ruin the pet, it makes it less special and it takes away part of what they expected it to have. I've supported these changes so far and I'll say it again, some designs have greatly benefited from being moved to new lines in the equine restoration project and the fact we've had continued fox adopts since the new lines came out means I'm grateful for new fox lines. I didn't mind that this change was coming and I have no issues with the other designs.

The changes are good...I suppose that this one fox is the exception that proves the rule...

I'm just wondering if you guys could maybe not use the fennec fox lineart and use another line art or maybe get another artist to do it?

The new lines are great and all, it's just not Shima though... personally I loved her lines and style greatly and think that this is erasing part of chicken smoothie history and many people's efforts to obtain such a creature. May I ask if there is any more proof of these lines being stolen more than a feeling or accusation? It just seems like such a shame. it honestly feels like this website is loosing it's unique style by normalising and erasing the creations that brought us here in the first place, new unique linearts to replace them probably would've been best instead of using newer ones.

I agree. I was so shocked of how my 2009 shimalaun blue fox turned out to be less detailed

Yes there is photo evidence. I'm not sure if we are allowed to post it on this forum, so all I can say is look up "Shima Luan fennec fox" on Google.

She used photos yes, but unless they were specifically copyrighted then shouldn't it be okay? For all we know she used them as references and they look very much like the images. There were differences in them though, the line arts and the pictures, we do that in art all the time, call it using a refefence. In fact, many people do.
