Hate this I gave rares for pets that used to be rare yesterday and now are uncommons today that's not fair now I can't get that pet back it should have Been left the way it was.....thanks so much for the change can you get me my rares back ugh.....so not fair

That is why there is an update. So people don't trade pets that are easy to come across, and really just not rare, for their actual rare pets. The pets are just as easy/hard to find as they were yesterday.

Well try trading your favorit pet that was rare and is still rare for a pet worth the same that you like even more at the time and you paid fairly for it just to come on here and see that the next day you over payed for it cuz urs stayed rare and the other one changed to uncommon like really this is stupid it was fine the way it was before

Calling something "stupid" isn't very nice of you. Nick has done something to help fix the economy on here and put a lot of hard work into this. It's taken a few weeks. It's unfortunate the rarity changed, but it just wasn't that rare to begin with anyways. You chose to trade that pet yesterday.

it was something that was needed and that a lot of the CS community wanted, you got the pet before so who says you can't get it again?

Hmm, this makes it even harder for new members to snag a valuable pet. Not sure that's a good thing if you're running a business - frustrating new members even more by making the rarity system so highly accurate that bargains are even more difficult to achieve.

But it is fairer. I'll give you that.

Can you put the pet's rarities on the pound adoption page now, so that newer members can recognize the rare pets and have a better chance at adopting one? That might even things out a bit, since the rarity accuracy improvements are weighted toward helping the older members who have all those rare pets to trade.

It would also help those members whose computers or phones or internet connection is so slow that the pictures of the pets load minutes after the pet's age. Like mine do.

I kinda agree. I think maybe there should've been like, a warning so people would know what was happening and they could cancel trades that wouldn't be fair anymore. But other than that, I think the change is...ok...

I think dates don't matter is a bit of an overstep. I think they just matter less. Now a January 2012 can be traded for a July 2012. Before it was seen as totally unfair due to what people called the 'three month rule'. If they were more than 3 months apart, it wasn't a fair swap. It will make trading within the same year easier. A lot of people wouldn't trade a January 2011 for a December 2011. Now they are closer to fair since they are rated equally. I still wouldn't trade my January 2010 for a December 2011. Age will still matter because of two main things. One is because just like the last system, each rarity has wiggle room. One Very Rare is not exactly as rare as another Very Rare. Also, the older they are, the more likely they are in 'forever homes'. At least that is my take on this ^^'

Well nick should have told us something like this was gunna happen and not just spring this on us without warning that wasn't very nice of him. Getting rare pets is hard enough I had to put my dreamie up for auction that was gifted to me so I could get rares and now half of them weren't worth trading for her. He could have at least told us about it before he did it.

I don't think the pound ever showed rarities, why now? To me the Pound seems like it's suppose to be a game of chance.
