Considering that the update pretty much all these mentioned linearts it seems, I would personally have to say no to the idea.
It's not that I don't like the idea or the Yulynh lineart or anything like that necessarily, but one of the very great and unique things about CS is its linearts, and despite what might have transpired with regards to old equimagine outlines, there is still a nice variety and difference with the old linearts kept intact.
There is good reason to make the update due to the items and such, but there's some really nice history, and although a good number of people like the Yulynh linearts the most, it is still really nice to have the old equi linearts for horses and ponies. There's simply just nice CS history to go along with it, and it would practically be lost completely with an update of this caliber.
If this update goes through and affects all equis on the site, I wouldn't mind all that much, but for the sake of the older players and those who have joined up until now (who have had the opportunity to experience these old linearts and grown to appreciate and like them [and I do believe a very large number of still people appreciate or like this variety in linearts and "types" of horses]), I would still recommend keeping them.
A lot of people are commenting and saying yes to specific things like "Oh I like the ponies" or "Oh I like the drafts specifically". It's important to keep in mind this would be a more global change than that. While individual likings are important, CS is a community after all, and I believe it's important to make a decision that is better for the community as a whole.
One of the biggest things to consider is what would be gained or lost with regards to the pets themselves. I think this is a big key to think about. With the equine transformations, there would be so-to-speak "new" horses that I'm sure a good number of people would like (or at least maybe like more than some current horses or designs). It's always nice to add something new people would like. My issue is that doing so would also be negative in the sense of removing a lot of memories and nostalgia, among other things for players who have joined up until now, especially for older players, whom I believe should be given at least some level of respect among things like this. With the change, there would be some gains, but also a lot of losses, whereas with no change, nobody would lose anything necessarily.
Those are simply my two cents. Of course there's thousands of people who can provide input, but just some things to consider and think about I'd suppose.
