Last application round they were open for 2-3 weeks, whereas applications before that round were open for roughly a month. It's inconsistent and I think it depends on how many applications they receive and when they are ready to close and whatnot

There is no set deadline at the moment. An announcement will be made in this thread shortly before applications close to give you a chance to get in any last minute submissions.
