On average, around 3 hours

Well, I am in German 2 at my school, so I consider myself pretty good at speaking/writing/or using the language. I like helping people, and I think that I am pretty good with sending trades, as in, I have never sent a trade that has ever been unfair to me, or that person. Also, I know the forums well, so I know most basic coding and how to add pictures and edit your profile. I also run an adoption center!


6.Why do you want to be a General Helper?
I would like to be a general helper, because I enjoy helping people, it brings a satisfaction to me, and many others. Whether it be math, Chicken Smoothie, trades, German, anything, I am always happy to help. In my opinion, being a general helper is a privilege. I know, its not the same as being in a staff position, but it still is very important. I feel that helping people is a necessity in life, and it helps people to learn new things everyday.

At least 3. As you might expect, weekends can be a lot longer.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?

Having been on the site as long as I have, I've done thousands of trades - and I'd say I know my rarities pretty well - and I'm always open to helping others if they desire. Basic trading knowledge has become like second nature to me. I also know my way around the forums quite well - having had 4 years to explore them. Though not always making posts, I lurk round most quite frequently. I also have good knowledge of BBcode, and basic HTML as well. I'm sometimes found looking at the help and suggestions board, and if I can help out I will try to do so to the best of my ability.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?

I like to believe that helping people is one of the best things I can do. Lately, I've been finding myself trying to make others smile a lot more, which in turn makes me smile.
Becoming a General Helper would mean that I could help many more people - I think this is the best way to help chickensmoothie and all its members to enjoy the game a lot more. Being able to lend a hand where I can is a great way to give back to the site after the countless hours of entertainment it has given me. I can remember seeing the first general helpers being selected, and since then it has been my goal to help out in the way they do, to brighten up the forums like they do.
In spring of this year I joined the 'Adopt a Newbie' thread as a moderator - and it is a job I really enjoy. Being able to set people up with adopters and answer questions myself truly is a lovely pastime in my opinion. If I were to become a General Helper, I would have even more of a drive to help others in any way I can, be it answering a question or pointing them in the right direction - I would be so happy just knowing I can support just one user on CS, so they might be able to carry on their game in the future. c:

I spent all day, and when at school I'm on for an hour at a time, depending on how much class work I have.

I help people as much as I can, like with putting pictures in their form, or fixing the font. When I introducted a friend into CS I showed her how to send trades and where to find the rules/roleplays/where to adopt pets, or to even find some that were beaing auctioned.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: Week days I'm on in the evenings from about 4pm to 9pm, so five hours in GMT, but at the weekend I'm on pretty much from 8 am to 10 pm, so 14 hours.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required): CS has been my passion ever since I first discovered it, I love roleplaying and creative writing, and this website has helped me find my best friend, despite us living on opposite sides of the world. I am extremely passionate about helping people and keeping this sight running, I've logged on pretty much every day since I registered over three years ago. I don't want to come across as one of these perfect people who says stuff like, '"I am so patient and calm," and all that, because nobody is perfect, and to be a helper, you need to know that, and not get frustrated when people ask for help, because that is what you are there to do. What I think counts, is that you care for everyone on this website and are always happy to help, and I really think I can bring these skills. I have matured a lot over these past few years, and I want to give my thanks to CS in the form of helping others.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?: I always feel such a sense of happiness through helping people, it's just something in my nature. I am experienced with jobs like this, as I am currently a moderator for a few species, such as Jewel Mane Dragons and Ear beaded kolas. I still remember how lost I was three years ago, I had absolutely no idea what to do, and I owe all my knowledge now to members of my sight, and now, I want to return the favour and help all others to the absolute best of my ability. I speak 4 other languages, I always offer my help to new people who are trading with me if they have any problems or questions about trading. I'm very friendly to talk to aswell.

I'd like to be a general helper because I love to help people and interact with people, I know how hard it is to start on this game and not know anyone and know nothing about trading and it was because of the general helpers that made me realize its not that hard to do and i'd like to be able to pay it forward to someone else

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required): I know alot about coding and editing pictures,Diffrent word styles,ect. For questions I don't know the answers to, I'd go to another general helper or FAQs. I known most and all of forums; Roleplay,Games, General discussion and ect. I am very patient and can handled sticky situations. Though, I don't really consider my self a full trade expert but I can tell when some trades are unfair.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?: I find Chickensmoothie is a very enjoyable site to Hang out,Chat, Adopt pets, Paraticapate in awesome events and I'd really like to keep it that way by helping people and giving back help to the site. I have knowledge of the Forums and Rules wish I want to share with others and new members. I enjoy helping others and with the questions others may have that need answered. I want to give back to the community for the help they gave me. I am patient when others are be difficult, but I will not be angering with them.

I have had finals and had some issues over the past few weeks that have been preventing me from being on Chickensmoothie for as long as I normally would. I'm back to normal now, though. ^^;

On weekdays, I usually spend around 5-6 hours on CS, and on weekends/holidays I often spend around 6-10 hours. I am also able to be easily reached because I can access Chickensmoothie on my phone throughout the day.

5. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?

I help out users on the "is this a fair trade?" thread & the "How much is this pet worth?" thread regularly (as well on other rarity-related threads) and I am listed as a rarity helper on the second post of the FTT. Due to this, I am used to receiving PMs from users asking for my advice everyday and replying quickly and reliably. I also answer questions regularly in the CS Help/Suggestions/Problems and the Introductions boards, although I make an effort to answer questions wherever I find them. I also welcome newbies in the Introductions board, since I feel it's important to give new members a good first impression of us and our community, as well as the knowledge to start the game.

I'm also found in the Adopt A Newbie thread as a 'minimod', helping to maintain and run the thread. Since I started working on it, AAN has improved my patience skills, how to deal with frustrated/upset/etc people appropriately, good work habits, teamwork, and good communication skills which are skills that I feel that I can bring to the position. I have also contributed to (and am co-owner of) the Rule Index, as well as contributing to the Newbie Guide & Index, so I'm accustomed to searching for things to contribute. Due to this, I am familiar with all of the rules/guides of all of the boards and the site; so I can provide quick and reliable advice regarding rules. 

I also know how to use BBCode, operate basic Oekaki and its tools, how to Roleplay and create/develop/design/etc characters, and basic day-to-day use of Chickensmoothie (e.g. Editing your profile). So I believe that I will be able to cope well with the work requirements that come with the position.

6. Why do you want to be a General Helper?

While I already lend a helping hand, I can only provide so much help because I'm a normal member. I feel like I could expand my knowledge even further and help more users if I was a GH, since I'll have access to the help tickets and the coloured name will stand out to people if they need help and they're looking for somebody.

I also decided a long time ago that what I want to do on Chickensmoothie is to help, since I feel that this community deserves to be helped when they need it. I love to help anyone - regardless of who the person asking for help is - because I know that if I can offer a bit of my time to lend them a hand, that could potentially make their day and will improve their experience on the site.

I like helping because it gives me a feeling of warmness and accomplishment. Whenever I see a user that I helped giving advice to others, or achieving their personal goals, I can't help but feel good about it all over again. To know that I was one of the people that had given them the knowledge to help/succeed makes helping an even more enjoyable experience for me. That's why I keep frequenting the boards, the help threads, and any question I can lay my hands on - not only to learn, but also to help the greater community.

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? two hours plus, often a lot longer especially in holidays and week-ends.

5.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation? I have a lot of experience in ALL parts of the site like the Roleplay, Oekaki and art forums. I can give advice on all parts of the site and I have a lot of patience and am very good with people. I have a good knowledge of the rules and can easily help answer any questions on them that newer (or older) players may have. I also know a little French and German from my studies at school and know a little of the basics. I also have a good knowledge of the coding of signatures and after spending so much time on cs I know a lot about the site.

6.Why do you want to be a General Helper? I like helping people and have a lot of spare time, I have a lot of knowledge of the site and I would like to be able to share it easier. I have spent a lot of time on the oekaki and I think that had I asked someone to give me a run through of how to use it properly instead of just trying stuff out, I would have gotten to grips with it quicker and I want to be able to help and encourage others with it. I feel like a lot of people have been really kind to me and I know especially as a beginner just how important someone welcoming you to the site on the introductions thread is or just knowing someone to ask for help and I would love to be able to help others to get started on the site.

on college days i spend about likely over 4-5+ more hours playing, helping people, giving new players and other players pets and items so its pretty much a heck of alot of time i spend playing

Well im very kind towards people and will usually welcome new users by sending them pets and items to get them started, i speak a heck of alot of other languages (11+) for the other users who need help but are not so great with english, i know alot about the trades, editing profiles, pet value etc also

Just because ALL of the time i spend on CS pretty much all i look to do is help people with there questions, greeting them, helping to check if there trades are fair or if there stuck with anything or are looking for a dream pet etc ^^ i just Literally LOVE helping everyone and anyone of CS <3 and its staying that way for however many years i play that will likely be quite a long time
