TBH, I don’t really trade much at all, and I sort by species, so I’m just sitting here happy that I have some OMGSR pets now.

My hoard has become more valuable.

If they dropped in rarity then they weren't actually THAT rare to begin with though.
Now you know the true value of your pets. Isn't it better to have real uncommons/rares/ etc. Rather than "knockoffs"?

No offense but bad update.
Literally almost all of my pets were bumped down by a LOT
Now they're practically worthless and nearly impossible to trade away, thanks :')

I agree also, many of my rares become uncommons and some uncommons become commons or even lower Event pets are now worthless!!! I'm not so happy with that update at all!

Another thing about older pets being worth more that no one mentioned is that many older users who are still active own them, but keep them in locked groups and don't plan on trading them any time soon, making them much harder to find available for trading - while pets that just came out are everywhere (mostly uncommons, as these seem to be spread out the most throughout all years)

Users want an omgsr tag, and if those pets were rarer before users will want them even more now- demand will increase. The old 2010 uncommon that went rare will now be harder to get a hold of because people will be expecting more for them now that they perceive them as officially being rare (or very rare in some cases.)

It’s like if you price a shirt. If it’s priced at 10$ you’ll think it’s a cheaper shirt, but when you bump the price up to, say 30, people will view it to be higher quality regardless of real value. Those new omgsr, vr and rare tags are making the pets visually more valuable despite their original value before the update.

Rarity may not have changed, but the value has. People value omgsr pets a lot more, so people will likely be paying even more for them now (especially with the list being rearranged to compensate.) It will definitely be harder to get older pets as the gap between poorer and richer players just took a massive jump.

what? People were always trying to underpay for my 2010 uncommons. They were already “rare”, the tag just reflects that now. people now see they were worth more than what they were offering. I always got people trying to offer me current year uncommons for my 2010 uncommons and I always ended up canceling them. Logically I knew there was less 2010 uncommons then current year uncommons and that the rarity system was way off. This update proves my suspicions were correct. Only time will tell how much more accurate the system is. I might be more inclined to trade a pet with a 5-6 month difference instead of 3, maybe more (we’ll see)

Demand isn’t going to suddenly shoot up for old pets. Maybe for the older pets that were already rare if that’s what you were on about.... but in that case it would be fair since they are obviously worth a little more than pets that were on the cusp of being rare.

And I hate to tell you the rare list was never completely acurate. The list is made by “guesstimating” how many pets are in circulation with demand sprinkled in. Ideally they would use only circulation but it’s impossible since they can’t see how many pets there are. The fact September pets and such sometimes go omgsorare is proof of that. They should have been placed higher on the list to begin with. The rare list is full of very rares/omg so rares so demand for each pet shouldn’t change that much from the update. Demand might be slightly higher for a while but it will go back down to normal.

The only value I see shooting up and staying way beyond its actual rarity is the new omg so rare store pets.
