My thing is I don't care if the buckskin pps is a very rare. I just love how cute it looks. Will it still look super adorable when the linearts are changed?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know (or have an estimate) of when the new unicornd lines will be done..? I am not looking forward to them either but I am curious to see what they come up with...

Yep, all line edits would be preserved and put on to the new lines as well. :3 It wouldn't be much of a reindeer horse without its antlers, hooves and reindeer nose, after all!

    okay, thank you ^.^

At first, I wasn't so sure. I've always loved Yulynh's lines, from the very first time they were released. (What was it, December '10?) and I think that the majority of the horses would look gorgeous on her lines. At the same time, though, there's a few of the equimagine lines that I like just because they are different, the donkeys and the unicorns, for example. Also, there is, to me, a certain quality to the lines that I think reminds me of the old CS, a more simple and a different style of art.

But after thinking about it, I decided that I definitely and fully agree with the project and I voted 'yes'. I, as a photographer, value credit and originality. I can speak from experience when I say that having my photos used without my permission is one of my biggest fears when it comes to photography. I think for CS, a community that is so based so much off of art, keeping it clean and honest should be a very important value.

I'd be disappointed to see the Drafts changed, although all the others I'd be fine with. The new Draft lines look very... unproportional. The hind quarters looks too large compared to the front shoulder, and if you were to cut this horse into 3rds (common practice in Horse Judging, which I participate in as a member of FFA) the proportions would be very undesirable, and quite honestly a horse that actually looked like that may have problems with doing heavy pulling. One of my favorite things about this site is how real most of the horse adoptables look (in body and anatomy, not markings) which is why I'm fine with the switch of the normal horse lines, but I'd like to see some small edits done to the Draft lines to try and even out it's proportions.
All in all I'm for the change, though I'd like to see the Draft lines edited just a tiny bit :)
Hello! So, I'm not online very much, mostly only when I go to my cousin's house (she is ArrowΩCountry ) We don't trade often, but please don't ban us for the few times we do. We try and keep our trades fair still :)

Could you at least try to keep an open mind? You haven't even seen them yet. If you go into something thinking that it's going to stink, it probably will.
I can't answer your question though. Hopefully soon, the suspense is killing me!

I really am sorry that you prefer the old lines, and that you might lose a lineart that you're so attached to. It doesn't sound like a fun situation to be in.
However, tracing can't just be excused because it's "pretty" Ignoring theft simply because people liked the look of it sends a bad message, and basically shows people that stealing is okay so long as people like the outcome. On a site that claims that art theft is wrong and enforces very strict rules forbidding art theft on it's members, that's not acceptable.
It's would be wrong to keep the linearts up the way they are, knowing fully well that many/all of them have been stolen from photos not belonging to the artist.

I voted "yes" because I don't support art theft and don't want to support a site that condones it.
I do feel bad that many users are attached to the old lines, but to me removing the stolen lineart is far more important to the site than any feeling that would be hurt as a result.

I'm sorry you're pet might be changed, but you have to look at the bigger picture. The change puts you in a bad situation, but it would also be far better for CS as a whole.

I probably shouldn't say this as no one really cares what I think ..

BUT since I have been complaining so much that the Yes people have been pretty mean, I feel I should say something when a Yes person does an excellent job of being super respectful and actually very nice.

This was well worded and actually kind of touching. Thank you.. <sounds sarcastic but I promise I do not mean it that way. Im serious>

I do try to keep an open mind to most things, just not everything...sorry. I do hope they reveal something soon though, it will give everyone something new to talk about.

As I've mentioned here before, I support the change because it needs to be done. Art theft is such a huge deal any other time so I see no reason why this should not be addressed. Now matter how attatched you are to pixels, they still show evidence of tracing and it isn't an okay thing to do. I've heard it might not even be changing because fifty percent is saying yes. That's not majority, it's only half, and we don't want half the community upset. In all honesty here, I think the change needs to be done. Somethings change and we don't always like them at first, but the only thing changing is lines. Nothing else is. Sure they hold memories of when you first joined- I have quiet a few equimagine horses in my folder, but I'm ready for them to be changed at this point because this thread has gotten crazy..

I'm super excited to see what the rainbow/tye-dye drafts are going to look like on the new lines. :3
