I agree with everything you said there, Never&Rush. The Equimagine part of CS history is never going to go away, even if we aren't actively using her linearts. It will always be a part of us as a site, and I imagine the old images will remain in the archive in some form. But this could be a step in the right direction for CS. Change can be uncomfortable for some users--personally, it freaked me out when the rarity bars changed--but after people get used to it I think we will all be better off. The new linearts are more uniform and (in my opinion) more anatomically accurate and well-drawn. I sincerely hope this change goes through.

I'm sorry, but I don't think so. I find it unfair that your linearts stay, and Malk's stay, but the Equimagine lines get changed? Yeah, yours sets it apart, okay. In my opinion, so does theirs. I like the old lines, and I don't think that we should change anything about them.
Deep in the woods,
In a world of our making.
Lost in each other,
No sense of forsaking.
A simple feel like any other,
Without any room to pretend as another.
But losing our footing on a wire of briers,
Binding and prying in loosening desires,
That not even the strength of
the strongest of motions,
Could calm this tide
Of rising commotions.
Drowning in sinners and falsified thoughts,
With feelings of malice, detachment and loss.
Swimming in circles around the drain,
Sucking the life from every vein.
Draining the soul and leaving it lost...
How much falling till you're finally caught?
And get back to the place your eyes have sought?

Equine worked really hard to make those horses and ponies and now they are going to disappear just because you want to make them more traceable and make more items fit them. It doesnt matter if items fit them or not, work with what you have.
Their rarity and date wouldn't be changing, just the quality of the color and design and the new lineart is much nicer. Besides, if we all of the horses on the new lines, everything would be much easier on the staff for pet purposes and it wouldd be very organized.
My point is is that no one will want them all that bad any more. The reason everyone wanted them was because they were different. Just like the reason they want the foxes. because it is something different then what they already have.
I am finally back after a few month break from CS. In glad to be back and cant wait to rp with tons of people!

Honestly, I'm on the fence about this, but I am leaning slightly more toward "yes." I can see what both sides are saying, and although I'm not a huge fan of the old lineart, I'm not so sure I want them all the disappear. But as it is, I'm not really a big collector of CS horses in the first place, so I don't feel like it would really affect me either way. The new lines are definitely my favorites and if the old horses were to be converted, I'm sure I could grow to like them.
As for the new draft lines, I'm also undecided if I like them or not. I am absolutely in love with the head, face and mane, but not so much with the rest. I think if the body, especially the hindquarters, was just a tad skinnier and the tail a little longer, then I would have no objections at all. Even as it is, I like it much better than the old lines so I would not mind if the old one was replaced.
So although I am still uncertain, I would support the change if it happened.

Exactly. The whole point of this is to have one lineart for the ponies and horses, but if you're still keeping some pets in the old lineart you still have more than one lineart. :3
So, if you want to actually apply this idea correctly, you can go ahead and make lots of list pets look bad in the newer lineart, or not do it at all.
First, why restate what I said?
Secondly, sorry - I respect that you are on the other side of this issue, but making "lots of list pets look bad in the newer lineart" is not the goal of the conversion project, nor would everyone agree with your assumption that the new versions will look bad. I personally think changing all of the equines is, overall, a good thing. So, for consistency's sake, I would like to see CS go through with the conversion, but not if they will make special exceptions for a few pets with high demand.

While this is a nice idea and all, I have my personal problems with it. All or nothing is a bit much.
One of my friend's dreamies was the Buckskin PPS. But she doesn't like the current pony's middle stage at all. meaning she isn't going to like that pet anymore. I major overpaid to get her a pet that she's going to end up disliking now and probably trading /:
However, I really like the new draft line art. It's very cute ^^;
I guess it's selfish to want all of the pets to stay just for one person, but honestly as much as I like for the majority of pets to change... for the one pet, so that one person stays happy, I would vote a no XD

Exactly this^
As I said once before. For those users who were around back when Malk had their old linearts, the change to the new ones was uncomfortable at first. People were upset because their pets had changed. But looking back, it was a good change. And people got over it.

But from my experience, the equimagine linearts have really awful demand. Lots of people have in their rules things like "No rats, no spiders, no equimagine pets". If anything, I think switching to the more popular lineart will make them go up in value, not the other way around.
