Big site update!

Would other users be able to make pictures for the photo gallery, not just the staff?

I do have to say though, and I don't mean to upset or anger anyone on the staff by this, just expressing my opinion, some of the rules are getting a little strict to me. Of course the obvious ones there are no exceptions to, but the 'only one reference picture' rule seems a tad to restricting. I have a form layout that utilizes two pictures and a gif that I really like. It looks nice and hasn't hurt anyone.

Is there like a technical reason? Does it slow down the servers? I read that its considered 'spam', but if its all in the same post and all relating to the character is it really spam? I really don't wish to get in troub;e I just want my voice to be heard instead of quietly fuming about it. I'm only speaking my mind and hope it does not come off in a disrespectful manner.

I really like the update, but I think using only one picture is a little strict. I think it would be fine if it's small, for example, not bigger than 200x200.

I also think the new update is making the site lag. I really like it, but it's quite slow. :c

No, at the moment only staff are able to add their photos to the gallery. Between us there are a lot of photos and not all of them are up yet. As far as I am aware there is no present plan for members to add to the gallery, although you're welcome to show of your photographs in the creativity forum.

It's a technical issue; a lot of roleplays were getting very over the top with the amount of images they were using and it was causing all sorts of lags and issues with people on older technology (sometimes just lags and sometimes pages would crash repeatedly). It also makes it easier to monitor and to check that all the images are appropriate and follow the rules, previously it was easy to miss things that were not appropriate for children, now we don't have this issue. We're not aiming to suffocate user's creativity, but roleplay is about writing, it's not a photo gallery. It's not necessary to see a character in five different poses with their iphone, car and indoor swimming pool; these can all be written down if they're essential to the character, or roleplayed out.

Have you tried clearing your cache/history folders? The site shouldn't be lagging but I found once I've cleared my internet history, cookies and cache everything speeds up for me. Try giving it a go.

Have you tried clearing your cache/history folders? The site shouldn't be lagging but I found once I've cleared my internet history, cookies and cache everything speeds up for me. Try giving it a go.

Okay, thank you for both answers. I'll try clearing my history (which I haven't done in a few months) and figure out how to clean cookies on an iPad. But thank you once again ^^
