No it should not have equi's signiture because then it would be like claiming they aren't yulyn's lines it's not about the picture jazz it's about the lines if we put equis name on it people will assume that the lines are equis and it will confuse many users.

X- I'm not sure if it was deleted since I can't find it, but Harp's recent post about 'yes' meaning something more like 'yes, but etcetc' explains what I meant fairly well.

Jazz- That was brought up before, but others have pointed out that the person who makes the designs never has their name on the lines, so it may be confusing to do that ^^; I wouldn't see a problem adding her name in the archive, next to whoever redoes the designs though.

That's saying we might as well be posting nothing but "i love the linearts NO :(" or "yes can't say why because traced lines is a forbidden subject"

Why have a discussion topic if we can't discuss anything, just state our opinions and leave? ... isn't that what a poll is for?

I have a temporary solution that I think will make tempers less likely to flare.

It seems that some people are voting "no" because they don't want the old designs updated to the exact current lines. (I get that now. Thank y'all for helping me to understand. c: )

However, as it stands, a 'no' vote means that you still want the ethically dubious linearts in use.

This is a temporary measure, but -

How about if you want the lineart to change, but to a different variant of the current lineart/not the exact same as what we have right now so the equimagine designs remain 'special', you change your vote to 'unsure'?

The poll doesn't have a very good 'third option' for people who want to say yes to the first half (changing from equimagine's lines) but no to the second half (changing to yul's lines), which is a bit complicated as this is really a two-part question we are looking at.

Hopefully if we can round up those votes who are unhappy about switching to yul's lines, but would still like to see the lines changed to something with more artistic integrity, we can get Tess to consider putting that in as another option in the poll. Which I hope happens, because it's the option that I'd be happiest with, too, and it's definitely been discussed here on the thread.

That way hopefully we can all take some deep breaths and stop the merry-go-round of snippiness, ok? c:

We could just put the designs under Equis name (for the archive search function) or we could add the faded old desgins behind them, but that wouldn`t really work, cause we`d still have art theft on CS.

What I mean, is on the pony. Instead of one name, there could be two, and beneath Equimagine's is could say 'design.'

actually equi lost the rights to her designs when she drew her designs and gave them to cs she has visably no rights to them at all. they where copyrighted to cs as designs and designs that she knowingly gave to cs knowing she was giving up the right to even use them personally.

I think though that this is were the confusion is greatly derived from and that's all I'm trying to say ^.^ I voted yes because I honestly would love to see the equimagine designs on our current lines, however, because of the very direct question in the poll (Which is specifically do you want the equimagine lines to be changed to the current lines) what I've noticed from many posts is that many people vote no purely because they would rather see all the horses in complete uniformity not because they're the terrible art theft loving monsters that some people would make them out to be (not anyone specific! Just wanted to make that clear before anyone thinks I'm jumping down others throats =P ...this is more directed at various tumblr posts about this subject haha)

Personally IMO I believe that despite Harp's explanation about yes meaning more then yes is somewhat incorrect and that voting 'yes' means specifically that you are all for the equimagine lines being converted to our current horse lines, our new draft lines, and potentially our new unicorn lines not that you support a stand against art theft. If either of you would like to explain your stance a little further to me I would love it if you could shoot me a PM to support your reasoning ^.^
