You vote no = you're not for changing the art theft. Plain and simple.

im all for changing art theft, i voted no because i dont agree with the changing of the designs or as others put, them being improved, not all no voters are voting no because they dont want the line art to change, if there was a way to change the line art but keep the same designs exact, i would vote yes.
Looking to do art trades, If your interested pm me, any skill accepted, <3

By voting no, while knowing about the artistic integrity issue, you don't see it as an issue worth fixing.

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to hash that to be full of fluffy rainbows and kittens, y'all. There's an issue, we're given a chance to vote on a fix, and some are voting against it while fully knowing the issue. I can only assume this means they think the issue is less important than their aesthetic choice.

Yes everyone does agree that there is an issue. I believe the problem is that most people who have been arguing upon the same thought process as you have been arguing this as an all or nothing issue this is in no way the only method of solving this issue.

By voting no (This is said without putting words in anyone's mouth) they are saying that while they are now aware of the issue they don't believe this is the way to solve it ...or at least that's the vibe I've been getting from posts on this thread. :3 Many people vote no purely because they are against what is the main question of this thread -Do we want all the horses on this site to be under the same lines? and their honest answer is no. That doesn't necessarily mean they agree that the site should support art theft and that they themselves support art theft they just don't want this project and this method of solving the issue to go through

Actually, not to be rude, but the question is asking if they think the lines should be updated, not if they want them to all be the same. I couldn't care less if we had one lineart or a hundred(non traced linearts, that is), but I still think they should update the lines.

From what I can tell, the majority of the users voting no either don't know about the art theft or don't care. I can't imagine anyone who knew and cared about the theft would vote yes.

Why don't you all, just vote for what you want and let it drop?

This is just a forum, not a soap box :)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, yes...but anyone that has made mistakes in their lives cannot attack those who have done the same. So therefore, that is everyone :D

You may not be guilty of art theft, but your guilt may lie elsewhere. No one is asking what 'it' is. Hers just happened to become public. Just be thankful, yours isn't.
We all make mistakes, remember that, and it takes an even bigger person, to admit them.

How people vote shouldn't be of any issue here, because that isn't the point of this thread...it is whether or not, you want the art kept or not. Focus ;)

Re: Equine Transformation Project - REMEMBER TO VOTE!

First off, i am an artist, i like to take photographs of animals and take pride in it and i have adopted both types of horses and collected them. yet i voted no ...

some people *not naming names* might think that i voted no so i must therefore support art theft or be okay with stolen lines, why must that be the case? i wouldn't like someone tracing my photos and i would never trace photos myself either, but i'm human, i make mistakes and so does everyone else, so we all know that something happened to those lines as equimagine said, nothing intentional but still not all hers. now i don't beleive that it just being a mistake makes it right, but just voting no does *NOT* in any way mean i support art theft.

so a lot of you are now thinking that i'm being hypocritical, i just said im against art theft, i wouldn't do it and i wouldn't like it to happen to my photos, yet i still said no. it's because of why i said no. i said no because i dont want uniformity in the lines. i want the lines changing but not to the new lines as they are, to the new lines but with a specail lineart edit so you can tell they are apart from the rest this means lovers of the new lines, get them. lovers of the 'uniqueness', get it. and lovers of the old lines, still get some lines separate from the rest.

i said no because the poll is for if i support uniformity, not if i support art theft. i dont support art theft and i dont support uniformity. i support changing the lines, i support changing to the new lines, but only with some lineart edits to define them for players like my self that loved the old lines, but dont want a shady history on cs, horses dissappearing, or having the weight of suspected art theft on our shoulders.

Yup. As soon as i learned about the art theft, i changed my vote. Even though i do love those lines. But it`s all for the better of CS.

While I agree that many people who voted no did seem to fit that category you described A large majority of people have actually said that they would be all for this if the equimagine designs got a different line set from the current lines.
...and actually you may notice if you look at the poll the question is "Should we update the horses & ponies from 2009-2010 so they match the current lines?" emphasis being on the "So they match the current lines" and many users can be for the lines being changed and still be against them being changed so they match the current lines.

That is very disrespectful, it was an honest mistake, she admitted to it, and you should not say other people that are just EXPRESSING THEIR OPINIONS are SICKENING.

I think if we did change, it should still have equimagine's signature.

Everyone is still bickering, I see.

This has been suggested several times now. Some people are for it while others are against it. Yulynh's name would still have to be on the pets since it's her line art and people think that would be too much for each pet. We'll see what happens.

The signatures only go only artist`s Line arts. You could still find her pony/horse/draf designs under her name in the archives, though.
