Are you just reaching in and changing the art and nothing else? Or will it be more of a reissue?

A good idea might be a "turn in" thing.
Where you make the new guys but have it vollentary to have people turn in the old ones for new ones. Maybe if its preferable perhaps have a bonus? Like...
"turn in the old lineart pets for new ones and a chance to win!"

Rarity and dates will stay the same, only changing the linearts/transferring the designs over.
What's with all the late night liquored phone calls?
I don't think your lover likes me at all.

I disagree! I love the old pony linearts!
I don't care as much about the horses or drafts, but the whole reason I even joined CS was becasue of the old pony lineart.
I guess I'm a helpless voice among hundreds, but CS would not be the same to me without those ponies.

To add to this.. though rarity wont change, demand will likely go up imo. This could be a good thing.. I am not saying it is all good.. but this could be something positive..

Was that what I was asked about for the poll? No, and that's why my vote isn't changing. Tess did the poll to ask if we wanted them all to look uniform, and I don't. If they're changed I want the equi horses to be in one of the line-art edits. At this point we all know they will be changed no matter what, so I'm actually voting for the question asked. (Which it's perfectly fine if people want to vote yes or no for other reasons, that's just not what I'm doing.)

This. IMO, I think there should be a whole new line drawn for the old horses and ponies, so they still are distinguishable from the newer ones. There should be a "running horse" line made for the old horses, and since what people like most about the older ponies (or from what I've seen, and what I like about them) a pony line similar to that of Equi's and with the mane over the eyes on the ones that have that and for the "newer" Equi ponies, no hair over the eyes. Since that would be an easy edit to make on the lines, longer hair, shorter hair, like the dogs have different ears and tails. My opinion.

I like that idea. Most of the reason I like the old ones is the galloping pose. Maybe she could make one with a pose similar to that and with the Arabian horse styled head. They are re-doing all of the designs anyway. Besides, don't they only need to draw it once? I do understand if they don't want to do that, but maybe it's a good idea to consider.

Well, I think it's quite a nice idea and all, but I just don't really like the prospect of changing all the old linearts, tbh ;C

For kind of sentimental reasons, if you know what I mean? I remember getting my first horses on those linearts, and many more x3 I've dressed them up specially, and I think the way that they're different from the newer horses is a good thing - it adds some variety to the site.

I understand it would be easier to make items for the one lineart and all, but I'd prefer having the old lineart with limited accessories, than replacing it and letting you use more items.

Another thing is that I absolutely adore the chubby equimagine pony lineart on the first page - The one shown coloured in as the creamy coloured pony with a black mane. While I love Yulynh's linearts, I just find those old ponies unbearably cute <3

As for the drafts? The new lineart looks stunning, with flawless details, it has to be said. However, I just find the more simplistic, old lineart beautiful. The way the old draft seems to smile slightly at you, it just melts your heart. x3

Yeah, as you may have guessed if you read my lengthly post, I'm going to have to vote no. The idea is lovely and all, but I just don't like changing old things, which have lots of memories attached to them. That's just my opinion, but, hey, I guess I'll be okay with the final result, either way. Erasing the old linearts seems like a waste of beautiful artwork, belonging to a very skilled person. Meh, thanks for reading this :3

So, yeah, lemme just shout this out. I LOVE YOU OLD HORSIE LINEARTS <3 Haha, yes, this is just my two cents. ^^

I've seen this being suggested a few times.
The problem with this idea is that it doesn't address the fact that the artist of the lines traced them off of photographs.
CS has been condoning art theft for years and this change needs to be completely done, not made an option ^^

but that doesn't account for the actual art theft committed by the artist who made those old horses.

amen

I agree. Art theft shouldn't be tolerated. The people who want the old designs just don't seem to care that someone else's photos were used without permission.
