Okay, quick idea. I see both sides here now that some points have been made. I actually regret voting yes.

Why not try to make an option in your profile to either use the Yulynh lined re-designs or the equimagine originals? Because you have NO idea how fast the zebra, uni, and the list PPS demand will drop. Including the rainbow mane when they are on the new linearts. The zebras just seem like they belong in the lineart.

And one more thing. The designs Black Heart Always made were, actually, her own characters and one is her own horse! You would need to discuss this with any guest artists.

I also like this idea at first. I prefer the old horse lines, and would be very sad to see them go and some of my favourite pets on new lines I'm not fond of. I mean no disrespect to anyone, I just prefer the old lines. I would love the option to keep them on the old lines.

But the problem I see with this is the problem that arose on Neopets when they introduced the wearables system. It was a massive revamp, but for some pets, they gave the option for users to leave them unchanged.
Now we have a Darigan Draik and then you we have an Unconverted Darigan Draik.
The UC Darigan Draik is worth twice as much as the revamped Draik.
I'd hate to see on CS there being "UC Rainbow Mane UFT!" and have converted Rainbow Manes be worthless.
And while they're the same pet, you bring up a good point that there are going to be people who no long like them, or now value them differently.
I'd just hate to see the Neopets UC fiasco on here. I know this isn't Neopets, but it was a nightmare there when they decided to do something like this.

I voted 'no' for the revamp. I also agree with Tyr.

I see your point and I agree. I value equi's 3rd unlike most people who hate them. I just would hate to see them go

Even if all the 'monthly adopt' ponies are changed, the demand ones very likely will not be, so the lines would not be fully erased

The bad thing about that though is the demand ones will get even more demand because people will then want them so they can have something from the original lineart. Which will then make them virtually impossible to obtain.

You're making it sound like the lineart changes for the old horses are definitely going to happen.

Somewhere back in this it was mentioned that the draft lines will be used for new releases of draft horses. I assume the same is true of the unicorns.
So whether or not the change takes place, we'll probably get new drafts and unis on new lines.

I'm really not seeing what the big deal is with changing the linearts, and now people have anti-equine transformation project banners in their sig? Really?
Sure, it may seem like it's "deleting CS history" and other things, which I can totally see, and at first I thought of no as my answer.
But think about it. There is a chance that:

• a. Tess/Nick make it so that you can switch from a new/old lineart.
• b. There will be a section in the archives to view the old linearts.

I just think that we should just hope for the best and kind of get over it. I wasn't really a fan of the lineart anyways, and this new lineart will make everything easier, items and all.
Even if the things above weren't done, I personally wouldn't mind, but I'm looking forward to it.
Sorry if this post offends anyone, but this is my opinion ( which I have posted repetitively ), and I think you should take it to mind.

I voted no, for a few reasons:

1. I actually really love the "Arab" lines that Equi had, as well as the first ponies, and I really don't want to see those gone.
2. You're erasing some CS history, and its neat to see how it progressed.
3. It just seems like a discredit to Equi by removing her tag off of her lines and her designs, and placing the yulynh tag on them instead.
4. Same designs, sure, but you're also taking away the uniqueness of the original artist's designs. They lose...something when they're transferred over.
5. Items are easier to convert, and players are very creative when it comes to dressing up their pets anyway.
6. Conversion time takes away from the time that whoever is converting these can use instead to create new pets or otherwise.
7. I'm not fond of the new drafts. The face is too short, and there's something weird going on where the hind leg meets the barrel (like the body needs to be just a touch longer).

As well as some other very good points that a lot of other users are bringing up.

Tyr, I could not possibly agree with you more.
Also, in my opinion, these are our pets, and we should be the ones deciding what to do with them. This is just me.

I sort of can see it both ways, but I'm leaning towards tranfering old designs onto new lines. If we just leave them on the old lines, then it's sending a message that says: CS tolerates art theft even though we don't. It would probably be better just to erase that idea from everyone's minds by a little change.

I think no because the way they are now makes them look unique. why would you want to change that just for some items....

i completely agree. why not just use the items on a pet you already have that the items fit? instead you have to change the old horses lineart?

Exactly. We've been managing fine with few items for these ponies, so I don't think many would mind too much if we didn't get many more- I don't think any more have been released since I came to CS specifically for equimagines, except for the few free ones in the store that have always been there. Besides, despite having a collection of them, I can't say I have ever actually dressed them up, and you can always use other, background items to make amazing effects. You only need to go to the 'Fun ways to use items' thread to see that we do that anyway.
