about how long does it take for your application to be seen?

They said it can take a couple of weeks

The page says a couple of weeks but don't be surprised if it may take a bit longer. We recieve many applications so it can take a while to read through them all.

When the new team members are selected and confirmed there will be another announcement just like this one at the top of the forum, so keep an eye out!

After applications close. As I recall applications can be edited while apps are open, so only so much can be decided during that time since changes can be made. Apps are usually open for a bit, then closed while the staff decide, which can take weeks or longer depending on the number of apps.

No specific date is listed yet but there will be fair warning a few days before applications (and edits) are closed.

^ Just looking at the last few openings its ranged from 1 week to 1 month in the past, so just for anyone taking their time with the form, be aware of the potential time frame, don't want to miss out on submitting. As Burr said, there is normally a warning a few days before they are closed as well, so keeping an eye on the thread is a good idea.

I’m glad I finally took the chance to apply, with just over 9 years on site under my belt and 28k posts I think it’s time I try to give something back to the wonderful team that helped keep this site running smoothly for so long <3
