1.What date did you register as a CS member?: September, 2009
2.How many posts have you made in the forum: 9540
3.Are you old enough to apply for this position?: Yes
4.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Almost every day without fail
5.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? At least two hours. It depends on whether or not I have things to reply to whether I'm on longer or not.
6.Have you moderated on any other forums before? Yes, a roleplay forum, but the site has since been taken down(the owner didn't want to pay the cost of keeping it up anymore). I mostly dealt with deleting spam posted from bots(graphic pornographic photos included), clearing out bot accounts and later instating an account-approval system for the admin to keep bots from creating accounts any longer, moderating out accounts of users who turned out to be too young for the forum(such as an eleven-year-old), and submitting proposals for new, helpful rules to keep the forum working properly(half the rules on the site came from my suggestions, some of them co-thought up by other mods through discussion). Most of those rules applied specifically to roleplay.
7.Have you participated in many roleplays outside of CS before? I did a lot of roleplaying on Deviantart chats many years ago, and was active on one specific one for four full years, but they've since died from inactivity and I've moved on to forums. Presently I'm active on
Iwaku and
Roleplayerguild. I also do a lot of roleplaying through email with a few people I know relatively well.
8.Have you participated in many roleplays on CS before? A few...most of them died from inactivity, and I don't find many with a theme and partners that interest me. Besides, my most-used characters tend to swear a lot and that's not really appropriate for CS lol
9.Why do you want to be a roleplay moderator for CS? It's something productive to do with my time, and frankly I'm the first to complain when I see such blatantly inappropriate sexual content thrown all over the place. I'll admit I'm not the harshest critic when it comes to violence in roleplays but it grates on my nerves more than a little to see such perverse sexual material when I'm just looking for an innocent, casual roleplay and not be able to actually do anything about it myself. I dunno, maybe that's a stupid reason, but whatever.
10.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position? I can handle seeing or reading perverse, innappropriate material or images and removing them, it doesn't phase me(it's more not being able to get rid of it right away that bugs me). I tend to take staff positions very seriously and keep my behavior/feelings in check more when I feel like I have a job to do like this one rather than when acting as a regular user, but I guess maybe just saying that probably doesn't serve as proper evidence to support convincing you guys of that given my CS record isn't the cleanest. I'm an experienced roleplayer, I've been roleplaying for about ten years. I write a lot, and I don't mind helping people with roleplay, character, or creative writing help if they ask for it. I've written a small handful of writing guides before, one of them is on CS
(here), some others on my
DA account.
Dunno if those actually count for anything. Maybe they'd be better suited to applying for a different position.
I've had other members approach me before asking me to help them with resolving a dispute before too and helped them solve it peacefully acting as a mediator(on CS). Again, don't know if that really matters for anything, but I can give full details on what happened if asked *shrugs*
