Big Rarity Update - read for details!

This is going to make trading harder for sure. Rules are going to be changing majorly. Im really not looking forward to it.

To be fair, trading was already hard as it is with people making up nonsensical "this year is rarer than this year and this month is rarer than this month of the same year so I will only take a 2018 very rare for my 2016 common". This is actually more akin to a streamline version of that without the confusion. People dont have to look up endless guides now on how to trade. The rarity system is working now as it should be.

As true as that is, quick flipping through my trade groups show me that nearly everything I have from the last 3 years is useless. I'm going to go from 200+ uncommons alone (yes I agree that was an inordinate amount and seemed odd/silly) to 200 VCs, ~100ish Commons and <20 uncommons with 0 rares from 2018. I'm thinking of doing a before and after screenshot of the group numbers to see what the overall change is.

My overall point though is that I've been here for over 6 years and still found it hard to trade for older pets while having the uncommons. Without even the uncommon labels it's impossible. no one trades 2011 uncommons (a bunch of which are probably rares now) for handfuls of VCs.

Okay...now that I'm sorting through my UFT folders, I'm very miffed that 400+ uncommons are now all common and very uncommon... even some of my rares went down to common I have ONE Very Rare...and that was from this past christmas event...so yeaaa...I hate this rarity change a lot now...

EDIT: finished sorting the uncommons...400+ went down to 52 uncommons...I'm not amused =_=

I also hope this makes trading a little easyer on me I have a challenge as was heh

I've been having trouble with trading since 2011 anyway I'm hoping that once the dust settles and active traders re-adjust the economy/settle on a value to give to these labels, new fair-trading 'rules' might be easier for me to understand.

As it was I entirely stopped trading anything else than current-year pets to avoid getting it wrong. Perhaps this update will help.

Well, I am pretty surprised with this update. I got about 200+ old rares, some of my old commons turned into uncommons, and only newer pets became omsc or very commons. Personally, I don’t really pay much attention to newer ones, so this update is very useful, especially for old pets.
Oh, my blue PPS malk dragon became OMGSR, so nice.

Lol I didn’t notice they got rid of the omg so common/v common so this update confused me. (This was added before but I guess they removed it at some point)

To those upset by pets being demoted to commons/v commons: not many players in the know trades older pets for newer ones anyway. The reason being older pets turn rare faster. The new rarities are just reflecting what most players already knew.
