6. Why do you want to be a General Helper?: I want to be a General Helper because Im very helpful, friendly. I will answer pms from new members even ones who have been on for awhile, help others with things they need. Ill help them if they get bullied by some one else on the site.

4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Over 5 hours a day, even durring school days, I'll find some way to get on. I do happen to have two 1 and 1/2 hour free blocks in one day, so I'll probably be on then while I'm doing my HW.
5. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position I can speak a little bit of French, but not much as I kinda dropped out of class this year to focus on my core studies. I am somewhat of an expert at finding art theft, but I highly doubt that is what a General Helper does, so I'd just report it to higher up's. I know a few things about the Oekaki, having used it experimentally a few times, and am willing to help people if they get stuck. I know my way around the forms, and can re-direct people if need be, answer questions. I also know some things about trade values, but everyone's opinion on them differs, so, I dunno what I could bring on that front. Really, its not anything that most people don't already know, so, nothing special.
I am a very patient person, more-so than one should be, but, it would come in handy for being asked the same question multiple times...
6. Why do you want to be a General Helper? I would like to be a general helper because I absolutely love helping people, cliche, I know, but its true! I get some odd satisfaction when someone asks me a question and I can answer them with enthusiasm, wherever or whoever they are. People say that I am oddly kind to others, and I have to agree. Many people have given me reasons to dislike them, but I still talk to them, treat them like they are human, because they are.

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I usually visit chickensmoothie seven days a week. Although, very rarely I might not be able to get on for a day due to road trips, social activites, etc. But, that doesn't happen very often. So, normally I am online everyday.

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I tend to be on 5-10 hours a day on days that I am not busy. When school starts back up again I tend to be online around 4-8 hours, most of that in the late afternoon and eveing.

5.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I do chat with many people online and offline chickensmoothie and think I have pretty good people skills. Also, I have taken core french for seven years of my education, so I am able to speak/type in that language too. I do know some bits and pieces of spanish also. I tend try to comfort people when they are in hard situations and like to give a helping hand to make the situation more comfortable or easier to understand for people. I think I am able to explain how to edit your profile and posts easily for new members to understand. I am told that I am able to explain instructions very well also, which can come in hany while explaining features of the site to new members.

6.Why do you want to be a General Helper?
I have always enjoyed chickensmoothie since I joined over a year ago, I would love to make this site an welcoming and great place for other members like members have done for me in the past. It would be great to see other members enjoying their time on here instead of not having a good time and struggling to understand how to use features on the site, being warned for breaking the rules etc. Plus, I always enjoy knowing that I helped mke someones time a little better on this wonderful virtual pet site and made their day a little better.

I became a member of Chicken Smoothie on November 24th, 2010.

2.How many posts have you made in the forum?:
As of the moment I am typing this, I have made exactly 3,708 forum posts.

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?:
I visit Chicken Smoothie every day. Seven days a week. School is not a barrier for me because I take my classes online. Nothing short of a family vacation would prevent me from spending time here on a daily basis. It really is an extremely fun site that I have enjoyed very much.

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?:
I spend two hours here at the very least, and often more. On average, I would say that I spend about 4+ hours in the site each day.

5.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?:
I speak both English and Spanish, and can make good use of reliable online translators to communicate with those who do not speak English or Spanish.
In the time I have been a Chicken Smoothie member, I have more or less mastered trade values and I often assist my friends or even just random members with trades, pet values, learning rarities, and other related topics. If I come across a trade that stumps me, I know where to go to find an answer.
I am particularly adept at role playing and have an excellent general knowledge of the CSS and very similar HTML coding systems. Thus, I am well suited to provide help in those areas.
I also visit the Oekaki boards from time to time, and have drawn some art of my own. I have a basic understanding of how the Oekaki program works, and can help with that as well.


6.Why do you want to be a General Helper?
I already find myself helping other members fairly often with a variety of problems, from working out the fairness of a trade to thinking of a cool name for their new pet.
I find the experience very enjoyable and rewarding. When you know you helped someone work through a problem or figure something out is when you really feel like you've accomplished something.
That's why my policy is to give help when asked, and offer help when it looks like someone needs it.
With a General Helper position, I would be much easier to identify as someone who could provide assistance. That means that other members would know right away that I'm a good person to ask questions to, and it would be easider for me to help them if they can take that first step and send me a PM.
As a loyal CS addict, I feel it's my duty to give back to the site and contribute in any way I can to make it a great place for everyone to visit.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

I usually visit chicken smoothie seven days a week unless family interruptions or sickness causes me not to. I do not often fall prone to sickness or have family emergencies, so it is very likely I will almost always be on atleast everyday.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

I personally try to spend atleast five hours if not more or less on chicken smoothie a day. Although I have school and work to do, I still have very much free time. I do volunteer on weekends but only for a few hours. Also, I am online more on the weekends by a few hours.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?

I have had experience in peer mediation. I do not put my opinion of the actual matter at hand but instead do try to resolve it by using the method of a stalemate or an agreement that will solve the issue at hand.

I have traveled throughout the U.S. and have had many social experiences, so I am partially good with social skills.

I also have patience with working with others. A skill I have increasingly achieved by volunteering in a local nursing home. So repeating something over and over isn't an issue for me.

I am required to learn Spanish and French to graduate. My school has informed me that I will be certified within a month or so.


Do you consider yourself a trade-value expert?

I do not consider myself an expert nor many people on Chicken Smoothie. But I do consider myself on an advanced level in trade-value and have no problem helping others.

Do you already answer a lot of questions in the forum?

I do try to answer questions and help new and partially older members or anyone in general who needs help.

Do you know how all the tools/options in the oekaki work?)

Yes I know how the tools and options in the oekaki work although I do not spend as much time in the oekaki but more in the forums.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?

I would like to be a general helper for the feeling of helping others. I realize that people need help sometimes and don't enjoy being left in the dark. I would like to show more people on chicken smoothie that there's someone there to help. I also really enjoy helping others just for a smile. I have seen people turn others away, especially newer members and I feel as though I can help with that. Infact, the latest new member I've helped recently is giraffegirl <3. There was a time once when I was filled with many questions but eventually did learn a lot about chicken smoothie. I enjoy chicken smoothie and hope you find the right people for this job. Uh, quick question. I plan on filling out an application, but as far as our schedule goes, will our oppurtunuity change if our schedule slightly changes in the next two months or so? I have to go back to school shortly and stay after for yearbook meetings, but then I will have time to get on, just not as much.

Just include that as a note in your application where it asks how many hours a day you're online. It'll be factored in for the final decision, but since you intend to apply anyways, that will be easiest.
