We need your feedback on an update to the rarity system!

One concern for me is: Would it be better to just split up the VR’s and up? I say this because trading is already easy for uncommons and below. No one really needs to distinguish a VC from EC because both can be gotten easily. What if we put the former R’s into the new UC and used the rest of the categories to split up Vr’s? This would eliminate some need for the list and help people not be scammed. The only drawback I can think of is that people would be mad their pets seemingly decreased in rarity even though they didn’t, the rares were just named uncommon. I know I want to see which of my VR’s actually warrant being on some kind of list.

I'm thinking about the C$ pricing and having to squish another super common rarity in there will probably make common and up way more expensive, if that makes sense?? I'm trying to come up with a table where the omg so rare pets won't end up costing an absurd amount of USD
but i may be wrong, i have to test some numbers....

this is off-topic but i just wish pets weren't automatically organized by date adopted. it'd be way less stressful if we could custom organize pets without having to dateswap for certain adoption dates. sometimes pets with the same adoption date still aren't grouped the way that i want because the specific TIME they were adopted is off. it's just so frustrating to me as a perfectionist to have to live with the fact that i'll never be able to properly line up all the pets from a certain litter within a group because dateswapping is such a pain. lol

honestly the idea of four more rarities Is confusing to me and the notches seem like they'd be small and a little difficult for those of us with vision impairments. I think adding one category prevents it from being too complex and once there are redistributions the numbers in each category will balance out more. I just think having all those categories will make trading harder for people who refuse to trade up or down and only trade for one specific category.

I understand and think it might be easier, but then I'm also a little afraid of it because what about c$ pricing, are we going to have a new updated version for c$ pricing? As well as a new updated post with pet values on those that are valuable?

I have group split for commons and uncommons. common and be low I have priced all the same and all the uncommons in another group.

If there are going to be very uncommons, that something that I and I'm sure others have to determine if all "uncommons" be put together or in separate groups. causing a lot more groups to flip through when trading. especially for those that are quitting, it could take longer for everyone if the pets aren't on their wl, as we all know people go crazy trying to get the older, valuable pets of any rarity...


I also want to put in an inpute even though it's not about this, so if I have to remove this part then that's fine, but can we please do something about items and trades? Like something about a window pop up stating that you are trading your final item, have a window pop up stating "are you sure you want to procceed?"

This will especially help those that are doing give-aways. But just with trading, people send trades and select an items the other user only has one of, and sometimes the users believe they think they have more and just accepts without checking, and they were wrong and now they no longer have that item(s) so now they have to worry baout putting it back on the WL and find it again as the other user may not be so understanding and kind to send the trade back.


I also have an idea to where like pets, for items, we users can have a split category group to where we have a place to store items we are keeping and then move the ones we don't want/trading into another group so that way, we users don't accidently trade something we didn't want to and for trade to get auto cancelled with items instead of manually cancel them and avoid accidentals trades?

I hope I make sense....... I feel like items should be more focused on than pet rarity.

But I be fine with anything I guess. We all have to adapt eventually. I'm like half and half. I feel like once mroe info comes out the better I and others could feel about it

Honestly, the bigger spectrum of rarities seems more helpful. Yes, it'll be a while for the economy to settle down but we've gotten through after the rarity overhaul. This time, it would be more helpful and aid traders.

If I remember correctly, they can't implement a rarity system with items due to something in how they are coded, this was a few years ago though, so I am not sure if anything has changed

For example. New player got miracly one rare and now it could turn into something ucommon. It is good for older Players, but sadly. This game is uplayable by new Players. One my friend was so excited for this site. But quit after few months. No trade folder no chance to get older pets…

I myself am older player and I did not move with my collection by bit. Not a single new list pet. I was long on a hiatus because of this and I came back and sadly this is only worse. The gap between new and old Players is just…..

I would also love to move my collection a bit Play the game. Some events for older pets and so on like in Pokemon go or other games. Because right now it is only pay to win. And pay 300 plus dollars for one pixel pet is just……

Gain new Players and make the game more alive would help the site too. More people = more money for store pets and items and so on.

i too am interested in a new item sorting system as user @Spinda wrote. not a rarity system since im aware thats not possible, but perhaps the ability to have locked items like we have locked pet groups. would that be possible? i wonder if theres a suggestion for this.... :thonk: sorry for getting so off topic!! aa

Honestly I agree, as a player who has been around for awhile, it has been harder and harder to get any older pets, and even if you happen to have some, if they are considered 'low demand' they can't really get you much, trading has become such a slog an it is a big reason for my hiatus. I know the the zebras are handy, but, I think maybe adding more things like the zebras into adoptions would help a little (Like a variant in each pet type) I am not even sure if zebra's are still a thing in adoptions? But that is kind of beside the point of this thread,

I do hope defininf rarities about uncommon a bit more might make things easier, but of course demand will always jade trades

Personally, I think some new groups in the rare/very rare zone would be perfect. I'm already very unsure about trading and making extras in the "lower" zone would overcomplicate it.
