what will happen to the old equimagine LAs?
like if you already have them, will they be deleted, or will you be forced to send them to somewhere

You won't have to do anything, the images will just change c:

They will be replaced, as in the old horse gets deleted and the new horse is uploaded in its place.

I'm pretty sure they will be no longer existing and they with just be moved into Yul's lineart. {Sorry if I'm wrong}

You won't loose your pets, they'll simply be updated to the new lineart They'll still have the same rarity, the same designs, the same name (if you've named them) and stay in the same group, so you don't have to worry about loosing them

OMGOSH the new draft lines are adorable! Normally i dont like our horses but the new draft lines will change that!

Already posted but gonna repost lol I think it would be nice and maybe not make it so upsetting for everyone if like, in the archive they did something like what they did on the front page here, where they have the original equimagine image faded out slightly behind the new one so that way equimagine's work in making the designs would still be honoured (the designs, not the lineart) but it would take the lineart out of use and circulation.
Not sure if that is possible though or if it is too complex...

Also agree with... whoever posted this, sorry I cant remember your username... that both equimagine's name and Yulynh's names should be put onto the redesigned ones, so people can know which ones were once equimagine so there is no worry about her being forgotten about.

After reading through the thread, people seem to really be blowing things out of proportion.

1. Do we know if the horse images she traced are copyrighted, or are they public domain? If they are public domain, then there is absolutely no issue. Do we know where these photos originally came from?
2. If they are copyrighted, a case like this would be a civil case, not a criminal case. If the photographer (or photographers?) wanted to and decided it was worth their time, they could file a civil suit against the site. The onus of proving whether the images were traced or not would be on them. They could either request the traced images be removed or ask for damages (ie money). I honestly find this scenario incredibly unlikely, but I'm not an artist.
3. I would like to assume that the admins of the site have investigated this a long time ago and taken care of any potential risks to the site. I really don't think the risk to the site is anywhere near as high as people seem to think it is.

So logically they wouldn't be hesitant to notify the photographers once they found out... Right? O.o
