I am looking for a mobile app or website that works easily, requires no money to use/get certain things, and is good for making layers.
Thanks so much

Hi there!
FireAlpaca and Krita are pretty user friendly and free to use.
Although I don't have experience using these programs myself, I have heard a lot of good things from artists that do!

I don't think firealpaca has a mobile app, only mac or windows download, however, if you have either of those it is a really good program! krita however does have a mobile app, it takes a bit to get used to, but it can open PSD files unlike any other mobile app ive tried

edit: made a mistake, Krita only has a "Chromebook" version as far as "mobile" goes

I assume you've misread that, but to be clear neither of these apps work on mobile πŸ™ˆ

jdofjasih my eyes- thank you!

Then I recommend InfinitePainter or Medibang paint!
I haven't checked if they work with the CS files - but it'd be easy to check!

Vulpinyo wrote:Thank you for answering my question! I have one more if you don’t mind :0 is it better to make designs based around a theme (like how lots of current artists will kind of make different outcomes look like siblings if that makes sense) or do a diverse selection of designs like they’re from different litters but the same colors? Sorry can’t tell if my wording here makes any sense :?

Ultimately it's up to you. Remember that the goal of your application, however, is not to make an actual litter but to show off your coloring and designing abilities. With that in mind, I would recommend doing something different with each design to demonstrate a wider range of what you can do!

Does anyone know how long applications will be open for? : )

Edit: I found my answer here. Apologies!

I'm mostly on here for the art, but feel free to message me about anything ^^

please keep in mind, if you need to export specifically PSD files, medibang doesn't work, you can open PSD in it, but the only things that can be exported are .mdp .jpeg and .png
cant give any advice on infinite painter, ive never used it

Unfortunately our artists will need to be able to open PSD files, as that is how the official CS linearts are saved.

Sorry to butt in - FireAlpaca is the easiest (free) program compatible with PSD files I've worked with, maybe it's worth a shot :3c

Yugi, your color choices and designs were so awesome. I picked a few of my favorites that you've done, and they really do stand out. Your rat litter looks adorable, and the small stripes in their fur was a nice touch. It makes me think of tiger sharks, even though that may not have been what you were going for.
