If you're going to do that, why not just do it on the regular line-art and not make it so the artists have to make two sizes of all headgear, since the regular size ones will likely look too large on the Arabian line-art?
There is also the consideration that the Arabians were made specifically as store pets. If they were used for the equimagine designs, people who paid C$ or rare pets to get those Arabians would very likely be (rightfully) angry that almost identical horses on the same lineart had become widely available and for free. =/
Really? I wouldn't.
If this kind of change made the arabian lineart more popular because people would be collecting those kinds of horses and it generated more interest in the store horses it could be beneficial.
It's all in theory though. Who knows if this change will make the old horses (or in this case, even the store horses) gain value and popularity. It really is sad that the equimage horses are worth so little.
Leaving a site over an art switch is a little petty to be honest... Especially if all the art switch does is improve on the designs and such.
Actually, I find it pretty a valid course of action. If you're on a site collecting art (why would you collect it in the first place if you didn't like the art?) and that art is changed, well... There's no reason to be here is there?
It may be better art, but it's not the art you joined and collected for and that's all there is to it. I don't see the need to downplay this kind of thinking as "petty".
