Why is this even being put up to vote anyways? Sure, it's understandable if they were just saying that they were going to change the lines, but it's obvious that they're going to go ahead with it anyway. They've already started with a few! And as many people have said, we can't have stolen art on OUR website. I mean, sure, it was a mistake - everyone makes mistakes, but it clearly says in the rules that you can't trace/heavily reference art, and we all know what would happen if you did that yourself and uploaded it to Oekaki (a ban I believe), so I don't see why a previous ARTIST for CS should get away with it to be honest.

To sum everything up, I think the poll should just be closed. It's a firm yes and that's final in my opinion, even though I adore the Equimagine lines :c It's a shame that either way, people are going to be disappointed.

No, that's not what happens when someone copies in the Oekaki. Why do people think absolutely any rule infringement is an automatic ban? >.> Unless it's a repeat problem, it gets a warning and a lock. In short, effectively the same as what was done with the old foal lines, which were 'locked' by retiring them.

For all the arguing, the poll hasn't changed even slightly in its percentages for almost two days now. I'm pretty comfortable in saying those are almost certainly the final results, with 64% saying 'Yes' or 'Maybe', 34% saying 'No', and 2% 'Unsure'. I expect the poll will be closed fairly soon and the various opinions and suggestions reviewed. :3

I'm just gonna put down my personal opinion, legal issues aside (since, really, i doubt the people in charge would let the site get shut down just because most people who voted chose the option that would lead to such, if such a thing would really happen...). Personally, I would approve of the change, just because equi's lines always looked a bit...off to me. I don't know exactly why, but they just didn't look quite right, especially the ponies and part-grown horses. Yul's lines, though, definitely look more correct to me, so I'd just like them more. My only issue would be the mid-stage ponies, since some of equi's had rather neat designs while Yul's are shown mostly from the front, making the designs less noticeable. Maybe if a new mid-stage pony was made for the few PPS's that were in that stage...

At this rate I'm just waiting for one of the photographers to file a complaint. At least it will all be over quickly then :/

I have a theory that this was, in a way, to help soften the blow. If they'd just up and changed everything, it would have been utter chaos, especially with only a portion of the members knowing about all of the factors in the decision.

I could very well be wrong; but either way, I would personally feel 1000 times better if the project goes through and the changes are made. I have an inkling that Equin might prefer that, too, rather than have a mistake I'm sure she regrets put on display here for however long CS is around.

Has anyone tried to contact Equi about this? She'd probably be really glad to have her old horse removed- I know I would be mortified to see my two year old art still being paraded around!

No, some people were talking about it and said it'd be better off if she didn't know. She probably doesn't even care, since she agreed that her lineart went over to CS.

I can't tell you how furious I would be if they decide to give us a choice and still change it even though there are loads of unhappy people. If they said that they were going to give us a choice, they need to stick to their words, because while they do own / operate the site, it would be pointless if there weren't any users to keep it popular. I'm sure if they leave it the same people will get over it and the majority of things will go back to normal the way they were. All this idea is doing is causing people to fight, bash art, and express how they're superior over someone else.
