Fennec Foxes - update for the 2009/2010 Shima Fennecs

The second stage was definitely traced and the artist had also traced other works of theirs


I'm unsure if the adult stage was traced as well, but it's more of CS upholding their rules about tracing/art theft. The artist did something wrong so they should be punished - which in this case is redoing their pets.

I'm a little disappointed with the outcome of the new edited lines for the foxes. I expected them to look even better than the old lines but sadly they didn't really meet my expectations. It saddens me because now I really don't want them at all. I thought they might have had a special lineart just for them like the Rainbow Mane and the Roadkill PPS but I guess not. If I look on the bright side though, at least CS won't be charged with any copyright infringement. I feel so bitter about the new fennec fox lines, they're just so plain and unattractive, less vivid and detailed like the old lines.

I guess I'm a minority, but I think the new lines are AWESOME! I never really liked the old lines for some reason, but the faces on the new lines are so cartoony, they have personality! I also really like how they seem to color the lines now, it looks a million times better! The foxes became one of my favorite pets after the changes ;v;

Thanks! Well, I guess it happens. Kinda like when you use a "how to draw" book when learning and then forget or don't think about it. Not saying that's what happens or is right, just saying.
So.... Does anyone know the adult change reason?! Like why not just change that "pup" stage???? Just in case or something????

I understand why but I never knew! I am quite sad about it though cause they were so adorable. Its too bad they were copied however. Thanks for making that announcement otherwise itd take me a couple months to notice

Sorry but I just don't get the decision here. In applying those designs to the new fox lineart, something very special was taken away from Shimas foxes. Those foxes had uniqueness to them that shined in their pose. Now they come off as generic being on regular monthly adoptions...

I was expecting to see the same treatment the Equimagine horses got. Instead we lost that uniqueness that set them apart from the rest. I am fully aware of the first stage trace and that it is not ok to leave it as is (or the adult stage either since we don't know). But did you really have to skip on making them more special? As much as I loved the new fennec lines, I just can't see Shimas foxes on those lines. For someone who had loved those old foxes for so long, it just kills me seeing them changed that much. Those adorable cheeks, the big furry tail, the shorter thicker legs, those adorable lowered ears,.. all gone...

This might just be me, but I love the new line change because the linearts just go so much better with the rest of CS's linearts. I always thought that the old ones were just off-style, I guess, and their expressions didn't have the same cheerful, full of personality look to them that the others did. The old ones just looked kind of sullen, I suppose.... this is just my opinion though.

I mean i myself have copied something (sort of) and then almost completely redid it to make it my own. But to completely trace it and then just add parts here and there...not just for the foxes but for multiple different things and then give it to someone else!? I agree they should have been changed. Dont agree with the lines whatsoever still. Like one of the people above, im dossapointed. But the change itself was necessary
