That pony's hardly what I'd call 'proof' - there are almost no similarities in the lines. It's the same pose, yes, but it's also a very common pose (including details like the tail being swept over the leg - standard practice in pony show photography). The same goes for the other photo overlays. Someone made the point of this by overlaying one of Yulyhn's horses with a photo of a horse in similar pose, which matched about as well as most of those equimagine overlays and yet is definitely not traced or even referenced from that photo. The foals are obvious, as they match up perfectly, but I've yet to see anything similar for the adult lines (despite many, many different photos being claimed to have been 'traced' for those).
I do agree with you on this point. I'm still looking for actual proof for both the pony and the draft, myself. I still feel like there are very suspicious inconsistencies with her lines that don't set right with me personally though, so I'm still for the change even if the adults are not traced.

^ Well, yes.
Equi forgot about how the foal lines came about, as they were old lines that she repurposed for CS, but because they were copied so closely from photographs she actually didn't have the right to give those lines to CS and (however unintentionally) broke the rules about use of photographs for art. That was why she replaced the old foal lines with new ones and updated the adult lines to match, and those old lines were taken out of use.

YES. Tracing is bad. Tracing is art theft. If you want your drawings to look more realistic, then practice or use references(and use them correctly!).
