do you want art? viewtopic.php?f=21&t=748607The girl you just called fat...she's overdosing on diet pills. The girl you just called ugly... she spends hours putting makeup on hoping people will like her. The boy you just tripped... he is abused enough at home. See that man with the ugly scars... he fought for his country. That guy you just made fun of for crying... his mother is dying. Put this as your status if your against bullying. I bet 95% of you wont re-post this, but i'm sure the people with a heart and backbone will.

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: November 13, 20102.How many posts have you made in the forum: This will be my 300th exactly.3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?I visit every day. Even when I do start school, I will check it in the morning and at night, and school starts on the 6th for me.4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?Summer:All day unless I have plans. I ussually wake up at 9, and go to bed at 4 (AM)..and school year, about 2-3+ hours.5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? Only for my website, Pietart (These are the forums)...But otherwise no.6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?Yes, quite a few times.I find It quite tough, seeing I am so used to Photoshop.I am hoping to teach myself, as I did with PS and GIMP.7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?Yeah, I spend a half hour to an hour+ on there every day. Even if its just to see all the pretty pictures, or if its to comment and give them advice,compliment/critique,etc., I spend quite a bit of time on there o3o8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?Why do I want to be an oekaki moderator? I want to be an oekaki moderator because I want to try something different. I am, honestly, getting kind of bored, sitting on my laptop, go on CS, see if my pets have grown, check their raritys, look at new messages/trades, and look at the forums, and maybe put a new oekaki drawing up, but otherwise, thats all I do. And I have always wanted to be an artist when I am older, and I still do. I think this will help, even though it doesn't require drawing or such, I would like to have a bit of experince with working with people and their art, so I will know how to deal with real life, serious art situations. Also, It will encourage me to draw more on the oekaki :39.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position? Most of my skills are not really related to the internet (I sing, I play some instruments,I train dogs, etc.), but I was considering being in peer mediation, but I didn't have the time. We had crazy rehearsals going on for the school play, and It was at the end of the year, so I had to get all of my schoolwork/finals in, and I was juggling it all, so I had to drop that. I still was able to help, I was in saftey patrol for a year (...)and I love to help people. I am an anti-social in person, but on the internet, I...I blossom! like a flower! or something....And I am very social. Now if we were in person, I wouldn't have said half the stuff I have just said.
I handle situations, pretty good. I cry easily, but when its online, it never hurts. they just want to push your buttons.I try and sort out my real life problems, like my relationship with my parents, and my friends,my teachers, etc. and sometimes they work, sometimes not...
I do speak a bit of french, but dont expect me to speak it fluently, or even sometimes. I have ben learning french (I teach myself) for about 2 or 3 years now, but I cant quite grasp it. I know this has nothing to do with typing, But I can never pronounce it.
I feel bad dragging this on so long..So I think I should stop :C
Thank you all for this wonderful oppritunity!
<3~Hollif :3

How many posts have you made in the forum: 12063
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?7 days a week
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?3-4+ hours
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to themhttp://www.pawsforum.com/index.phpAdmin of Paws, a once active forum which I left for awhile in the care of another Admin because of busy family life and came back to a sleeping forum, planning to get it up and going again.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?Yes, Various times, Although I am only just starting to get use to drawing in it. I understand the layout and how everything works, just getting the feel took awhile.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?Yes, I spend atleast 30 mins to an hour browsing the Oekaki boards.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?Many times I have been annoyed at the lack of, in my view reasonable and negotiable moderating in the Oekaki board. I believe that the mods do a good job in many areas but don't stick to the guns, telling one user one thing and then not giving the same to another, in my view this is unfair moderating and the mods need to be given a guideline to what belongs in what category, simply not moving things due to the taste.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the positionI am a very fair person, treating everyone the same. I listen to what others have to say and I am happy to respond to there reasoning. I am strict on rules and even find myself telling friends off for rule breaking. When I feel something needs to be changed I set it in my sights to try my hardest to have problems realised.

ApplicationWhat date did you register as a CS member?
I registered on the 15th November of 2008.
How many posts have you made in the forum?
2127 posts so far.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Pretty much every day of the week, I don't really have many sites that I go on, so I tend to focus mainly on CS and the bonds I establish here with other members of the site.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
It varies, since I am currently in school, depending on the subjects we have during school weeks and definitely stay on CS for most of the day on the weekend or school break when I'm drawing or chatting with friends.
On average; I'd say around six or eight hours? Maybe more, I normally don't take into account how long I stay on a website per day.
I won't be able to come on to ChickenSmoothie occasionally, for example; when I'm camping or on vacation.
Have you moderated on any other forums before?
If you mean other websites; I am on the Tracker Dogs Forum but that probably won't count since it's a joint forum that is connected a thread on ChickenSmoothie.
Threads, if you're interested, I'm a junior artist on the Carpet-Sprites and the soon-to-be owner of the Tracker Dogs.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, though I stopped using it around the time I got my tablet and started using SAI and PhotoShop for my art instead.
After that I found it hard to draw with ChibiPaint (or Oekaki, if you prefer that name), I also have quite a few drawings saved on it that I probably won't get around to finishing due to some layer issues I had and that I lost inspiration for them.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
I love to browse in the Intermediate and Adoptable sections of the Oekaki Board, and sometimes in the Beginners' and Sketches and Experiments sections of the Oekaki Board.
I haven't posted in an Oekaki thread for quite a while since I've had other things to do in other parts of ChickenSmoothie, though I do adore some of the art posted there, especially the ones done without references.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I love to be on ChickenSmoothie, I just adore this site, and I love the art that is made here by the many talented members.
Dealing with the Art section of ChickenSmoothie, and being able to moderate it, would be an amazing opportunity to get to know the users of the site, and to make sure people are doing everything along the rule guide-lines. Though I still believe that referencing from photos is just as bad as referencing from a drawing on the Oekaki, I definitely would not take advantage of my role to force me beliefs onto people, as I have learnt from an amazing friend of mine the hard way.
Normally, I am a very tolerable person, especially when on a website like ChickenSmoothie, and I would deal with problems on the Oekaki Boards appropriately and respectfully. And I would definitely not address a thread on art theft if I have no proof of it happening and would never start an argument on it, I should be the one stopping them.
For moving threads around the Oekaki Board, I believe that this role should belong to someone that understands the quality of art very well and someone who is able to take flaming if members do not agree with the decision. Though, if I were to be flamed, I most likely not reply unless they take it outside of the thread, then I believe I have the right to post a neutral reply to answer their questions.
I admit; I do have slightly high standards when it comes to art, but I know that the Intermediate board is for artists' who are looking for criticism and advice on how to grow in the art field, but if I find someone who complains about the criticism they are getting, I will move their piece to the Beginners' board, since I find that a very immature thing to do. If I find a piece is in a place it doesn't deserve to be in, I will move it after consulting with some of the other Staff members, such as Fiery Gatoh or Leurai since they are much more experienced in this field, until I know what deserves to be in which part of the Oekaki boards like the back of my hand.
I promise to never leak the information that is stored in your Staff forums, I am a very loyal person and will never take advantage of an Oekaki Moderator's abilities.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I am an organized person and can be kind and understanding if the accused user had no idea on what they did wrong and I would be able to help them get out of that gutter. I would also remove spam and double posts (depending on the thread) from the threads in the Oekaki board. If the person's mother language is not English or a variation of it, though I can speak French and a small fraction of Chinese, I'll probably be more explaining and blatant to them, as well as attempting to speak their native language if the need for it ever arises.
Even though most of the time I come off as being playful or joking, I can be very strict when it comes to people who are trying to evade, bend and brake the rules, as displayed in my Art Shop, Tracker Dog thread and Tracker Dog Forum, and will not take flighty explanations as to why they broke a rule as an excuse.
Last year I was part of two committees at my school; the main one being the Community Committee, and I have experience with dealing with others problems and enforcing rules in real life, not just online. I also speak with proper grammar and spelling, though I may occasionally misspell some of the time it is unlikely or it was done on purpose while talking to a close friend.
I will always ask for permission to remove a drawing from the Oekaki boards, or lock it, when I have discovered Art Theft, encase it was a genuine reference and not a copy/heavy reference. If allowed too; I would also suggest some new rules for the Oekaki Board to help stop members from evading the current ones, I will also will be quick to answer questions via PM or thread, reports and I will browse the Oekaki Board constantly to make sure a rule has not been broken.
I would be around to help young artists when they need it, and will direct them to threads where they can get comments, critiques and red-linings on their artwork.
I admit, I can be stubborn, but I will not let that leak into my staff position if I were to be chosen for the job. I will deal with COPPA members accordingly, making sure nothing is against any of the ChickenSmoothie rules before allowing them to post. Real life problems and other occupations may get in the way, occasionally, of being an Oekaki Moderator, but I'll try my best not to let that happen.
I feel like I've proven myself to be worthy, in terms of maturity and friendliness, of your wondrous team, Tess, Nick and the CS Staff, and I hope I have convinced you to allow me to become a part of that.
Also, I would like to note that I was trying to be completely honest while writing this application.
Thank you for taking your time to read through and consider this form.

What date did you register as a CS member?
Friday Dec 18, 2009.
How many posts have you made in the forum?
5482.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
7 days.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
It depends if there's anything to do on CS, but during holidays and weekends I'll check CS lots of times throughout the day. On weekdays I'll be on most of the afternoon and evening.
Have you moderated on any other forums before?
No.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, I use it a lot.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
It's one of the biggest things I do on CS. All the art posted here is amazing, I love seeing other people's work.
Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Art is one of my strongest passions. The oekaki is the favourite feature on CS, and I'd love to get involved in helping people with the program, and keeping the boards clean by seperating the spam from the drawings. I think of myself a responsible person, and if faced with the task of possibly moving an oekaki to a different part of the forum, I would think hard before deciding. I understand fully the rules on art theft, and know not to lock a topic with no proof.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I actively use the oekaki, and if asked anything about how a feature of the software works I would be able to thoroughly explain, or quote another user's explanation if mine seemed harder to understand.
Thank you for considering me, and I wish the best of luck to everyone else applying.
