Sorry, just so curious sometimes XD

it would help your application if you've shown you have some knowledge of how the oekaki program works (if you know how to use different tools, colour in linearts etc) but we don't care how good your actual drawing abilities are. It's not an art contest and the oekaki mods are not expected to submit art as part of their job

Oh phew, that's absolutely lovely to know <33
I'm familiar with all the tools, and how to use them all! -phew-

Thanks for your help :]

What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)

The 11th of december. But,I know chickensmoothie since it was a petz site. When you decided to make it an adoptable site,i did not know that would be so awesome then i did wait a bit =)

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)

3431 in total,3432 with this one ^^

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

I go on cs almost every days,so 6-7,depends if there is a special day or if I am on vacations.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

I spend almost all my free time on it,So more than 3-4 hours,at least, but I can spend 7-8 hours few days .Due to my job,I can't more.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them.

We can say it like that.I used to administrate magirix, but, this was destroyed by someone. Also,I administrate and moderate my actual site.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?

I am happy to count 186 drawings in my gallery,so yes,I did ^^ It's a pure jewel,You did a very nice job on it.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?

Yes,I often go on the oekaki to comment some drawings, and, why not, give some constructive critiscism if the artist want to have some :)

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?

Because being a moderator,Is helpfull to people.I want to help people ,and give them some tips to continue in a good mood.I will do my best,if I'm choosed,to help and help peoples.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position
(for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?)

I am always calm and sweet, and I try to see if the problem can be ended sweetly.I report every message I see that broke a rule, and try to answer people's questions.I try do do my best even if I am not a moderator.I spent plenty of times on cs,so I have plenty of time to help :)I know by heart the cs rules,And even if i'm not choosed,I will continue as far to help people.I myself got helped by moderators, sometimes, when I did start to play .
HAPPY B-DAY TANATiAKISS <3

1. What date did you register as a CS member?:

March 27, 2009
2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):

3978
3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

All seven, for the most part. I always find a small bit of time to get on and check a few things , at the least.
4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

Varies. During breaks, it can be as much as six hours. However, during school weeks three to four hours would probably be my maximum.
5. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them

I have been a moderator on a few forums in the past, however, most are inactive, and I no longer have the links.
6. Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?

Yes. Though I will admit to coloring more lines in than actual drawing.
7. Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?

Quite a bit. I really enjoy looking at the art others can do digitally, as I lack any means of doing great digital art, and I find what some of the users who can do here really amazing.
8. Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?

I would really appreciate the chance to help out the site I have spent so much time on. I enjoy volunteering my time to good causes, and just generally helping others out. It would be an awesome opportunity to assist the CS community, and I would happily offer my time to just that. c:
9. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required)

I can only say that my greatest experience in things of the peer mediation type lie in the Model UN/ Formal Debate classes I've taken over the years. I believe myself to be able to sort out issues respectfully and maturely, and cut back on the unwarranted drama in conflicts. I know how to resolve issues regarding art theft and the like, and I consider myself to have the means to put up with whatever may occur as result of having a position of such.

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: Mon Aug 17, 2009

2.How many posts have you made in the forum: 2224

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I'm usually on every day =)

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I usually just lurk around all day, whatever time frame that I'm awake for ^^

5.Have you moderated on any other forums before?
I have not =(

6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, quite a few times. I draw on it a lot more than I post- since I prefer my Photoshop
I know how all the tools function, and techniques that are helpful for drawing

7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes, I love to browse the artwork around here, especially when featured work catches my eye
It usually leads me to starting a project in Oekaki, then scrapping it for my other programs u.u;

8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Honestly, one of the reasons that I want to be an oekaki moderator is because of a few complaints I've noticed in other parts of the forum
Like, certain beginner Oekaki's being moved to Intermediate and vice versa when there was no clear reason why
If Oekaki are posted in Intermediate (of reasonable content) there is no reason to move it back to Beginners where fewer people will see it and fewer opinions and critiques will be given
If someone in the beginner Oekaki is unwilling to take any critique given there, then I would feel that they should not be moved to intermediate where the picture will only serve to push other people, who are really looking for crit, back into the pages

I also know the difference between being rude and blunt critique

I don't know what I'm going to do as an adult, but for now my one sole interest is art. I'm very involved in the art community and I would like to take the opportunity to get more involved. This community really has benefitted me, in more ways than just the quality of my artwork. It has helped me understand the value of being an artist and develop my artistic morals. I would really love to take a more active role in this community that I really do enjoy.

This is a side-reason, but it's an honest reason nonetheless. I am also interested in getting to know the workings of CS, how things are run and such. I've been a member for a little over two years now, and I would really love to know the site that I spend so much of my time on better.

9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I speak English, my first language, a decent amount of Chinese (a language I grew up with), and a decent amount of French
I won an award for a national French exam, placing 13th in the US
I'm not trying to use that to brag or anything, just as a bit of proof that I know more than the basic "Bonjour! Ca va Bien?"
I'm a good problem solver, and I have a strong background in operating digital-art programs
I'm reasonably patient and am used to answering technical questions over PM (usually for programs like PS or GIMP)

In situations that don't directly involve me, I am always unbiased and objective
Edit:// Just to clarify, I don't have a weak self-esteem and I can handle people yelling at me
I don't imagine this to be a problem since whatever rudeness can be solved with another warning/ban

I'm sorry if I sounded a bit blunt >__<; I don't really like dressing things up to seem different than they are

What date did you register as a CS member?: 26th of February 2011.
How many posts have you made in the forum: 5606.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: Everyday usually, unless I'm away.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: Usually 5-9(Maybe 10 or above) hours a day, so I'd be on a lot.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: Nope, but this is my chance.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?: Yes, it's a very useful paint program, Although I did download it as well off of the site, but it doesn't work as well as it does on CS. It doesn't let you save.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?: Yes, whenever I go to the oekaki to draw something, my mind just guides me down the page and then the next and so on, then I have to promise myself NOT to look at them so I can draw! I'm just so addicted to it!
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?: Because I love drawing, I expect being a moderator would be quite fun, and many times I've introduced newbies to CS. I also like to help people, and this is an opportunity for me.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: Nope. Sorry.

Thank you very much for giving everyone an oppatunity to apply to be an oekaki moderator! I hope whoever gets it will do a good job!

Thank you,

Charm

What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply):
I joined on August 20, 2010.

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply):
6,658

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Everyday. If I can't get computer or laptop access I will use my iPod.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
On weekdays up to 3-5 hours and on weekends up to 8 hours

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them:
Sadly, not.

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
You know it ;] My gallery is full with new and old drawings that I have experimented with.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes, I love to browse through the talented users' drawings and I will comment on most, sometimes giving critique if they ask for it, or just simply showing that I love it.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I adore oekaki. It was the first thing I ever found on CS and I have loved it since. I understand the way the oekaki system works and I know the right boards oekaki's should go in. I respond to PM's quickly, but I always go over them to make sure they are clear and always make sense. If I happened to get the job I would defiantly do my best in all aspects, and I would willingly spend my time here on CS to clear up oekaki and make it a safe and fun place to go. I have over 15 pages in my gallery, so I'm not afraid to say I am familiar with how all of the tools on the side-bar work. I know how the layers work, what all the icons on the tool-bar do and things like that. I also know the difference between critique and just plain rudeness. Out of all the places around CS, oekaki is the one I know best .

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
I am a reliable and hard-working person. I can handle anything in a calm and just manner. I can also say that I am very mature and can handle conflicts well. If a user happened to flame at me for any reason, I wouldn't feel hurt, or the need to argue back. As said before, I love to browse the oekaki boards, and love to help any user if they have a question on their mind about oekaki. I have helped people before, and I would love the chance to get chosen to do that on a daily basis. I can be relied on to do my very best in any area. Also, if this helps, I know quite a bit of Japanese, I am currently learning a bit of French and I can speak a tiny bit of Indonesian.

Postby Lilo. » Thu Sep 01, 2011 7:57 pm

1.What date did you register as a CS member?:
31st May 2010
2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
7223
3. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Generally, seven (unless I go onto holiday, which if I do is once a year for two weeks.)
4. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Usually, more than two, but if it's not a school day or the football isn't on usually all day! (with exceptions of meals, of course.)
5. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No this will be my first time. I think it shall be a great experience if I get the position.
6. Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes, even if my drawing isn't quite up to standards on it.
7. Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes, I often look at the Popular Of All Time, Featured, My friends' Oekaki's, and just look in general.
8. Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I think it would be a great experience for myself, give myself some personal progress in being given a responsibility - a trait that will come in handy later on in life, and it will entice me with the promise that I am doing something great for the CS community.
9. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) ?
I am a very fast type-r so that could perhaps come in handy, I can be formal or informal depending on the situation, but I do not take insults personally if they are thrown at me, I just take them, and let them go, because they obviously do not know me. I will not get offended by anything on CS, and I won't be hard and snappy if they break the rules, I will simply correct it and whatnot. Also I am known to be rather good at explaining things when my parents/siblings/friends cannot, and understanding also.
Lilo.
