Changes to the pound

Does the pound still show pets if they're on the wishlist by the little star?

I noticed the new feature where it shows the pet's month/year (Awesome!) and was wondering if they removed being able to see whether or not it is on your wishlist.

The Pound still currently shows if the pet is on your wishlist or not.

The way pets are displayed now, the first line below their image will show the name, and the second the month and year the pet was adopted in.
So in your example, "greed" is the name of the pet, and it was adopted in December 2012.
Additionally, if the pet is on your wishlist, the star marker and note will appear below that, as usual.



The only change that has been made here is that the adoption date of the pet is no longer shown by age in days.
This new display choice is meant to make it easier for people to see what date a pet was adopted on.
(With age in days, it can be pretty difficult to do the math in your head quickly enough to grab the pet in question (especially if it's old).)

Love the changes! I saw the updates before the announcement on the home page came out, and started wondering if someone had changed that without permission, or if it was a glitch. But now I know, and it's AMAZING!

The changes are ok.

But in the long run, I've noticed one thing. What's the point with 3 hour waiting with each adoption if the pound itself still opens every 4 hours or so. That's kind of silly to me. :P

If they open it after 4 hours you can grap it.
If the limit was set to 6 hours you'dstill have to wait.
Before the update it opened more times a day sometimes, and you only had 1 grab.
Now you can grab a pet almost every time the pound opens.
It opens at random times, so it can be open again in 1 hour, or 7 hours. No one knows

I think it's so you can't adopt multiple pets in one opening. Also, people would probably get much angrier if they removed the cooldown altogether instead of just shortening it, so even though they have the same effect, this makes people happier.

Yeah I like the idea of the cooldown but imho it could be longer. 6-7 hours or whatever. But that's just me.

Just curious, but was this change due to wanting to get rid of a massive amount of pets? It just seems like the pound pet adopting must have at least doubled. I'm not complaining, I just was trying to guess the reasoning for the rule change.
