Applications Open for "Fanart Archivist" position

In centuries past we had an official fanart archive, but it was poorly maintained and eventually removed because it was so out of date. We have had thousands of amazing images, stories & poems submitted to us over the years, but everything just ends up lumped in one bulky forum topic... it is not very easy to browse the latest submissions because images get quoted over and over again, filling the topic with reposted images

We want to put everything up into an actual gallery again, which is organized by date and tagged by artist, so that you can easily browse through the latest entries and look up your old favorites. This will hopefully be added to the main navigation links on the site so that it is easy to find and visit regularly

We're going to need a few of our biggest fans to help keep the fan site updated!

This is not a "staff" position exactly, the only area of the site you'll gain access to is the fanart archive itself so that you can post the latest submissions and keep it up to date.

Please apply if you're interested in supporting CS and its fans by regularly displaying users' artwork and writing in the fanart archive.

HTML and coding knowledge will not be required. Long-term members preferred (active member for at least 6 months). Users who have a history of commenting on or contributing to the fanart topic will be given priority. We will hire at least 2 people for this position.

General Helpers and regular members can apply, and there is no age limit, but COPPA users and current staff cannot apply

How many hours do you usually spend on CS on an average day?: Around... 4-5 hours a day~
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: Every day, except Sunday, as I am busy with my family then.
Why do you want to be a fanart archivist?: CS is one of my favorite things to do online and I love fanart, whether it be for me, or for others. I'll be able to see more fanart if I'm lucky and get chosen. I support having this site up, because I love animals, and I think its great you have the Oekaki boards for people to express their love of art!

How many hours do you usually spend on CS on an average day?: 4 or 5, it depends!
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: Every day and holiday! CS is a priority of mine.
Why do you want to be a fanart archivist?: I love fanart, I've never attempted it but I love looking at ones people have made. I am very organized and I think I would be good at it.

4-5 sometimes. Usually 6-7.

Usually 7. I tend to be on every night, morning, and sometimes during the afternoon.
Why do you want to be a fanart archivist?:
I really need something to occupy my time, and this seems like something fun to do. ^_^

On weekdays, it's usually from 1-3, or even 4, school permitting. On weekends and holidays this can jump up to 7 or 8 most often, but my time waivers depending on how much free time I have and if I have something to do on here that takes more time. (Such as an event)

Every day, although sometimes it's just a quick check-in before school.
Why do you want to be a fanart archivist?:
I love CS, and I would love to help out any way I can here. I also adore the fan art, although I don't comment on it. There's so much of it! It would be a great opportunity to be able to see more, and give others the opportunity to see more. C:

Atleast 2 after school during homework and then for the rest of the night. So, unless something big comes up, I spend atleast 7 a day. I'm a little addicted, just a little...

Unless I have something massive comes into my days, everyday. Like I said, I'm a tad addicted. x'D

Why do you want to be a fanart archivist?:
I, myself, have dreams of writing. I feel a connection with the arts since I am awful at sports and singing. Traditional drawing and writing are the main things that define me. Sadly, I find those forums a bit cluttered and I would love to dedicate my time to help others see the amazing art we have on CS. We have too much great art to be lost under other art. Not that everything isn't good, all is great, but there are some that are breathtaking only to be piled upon.

On an average day I spend almost 5 to 7 hours on chickensmoothie. Mostly at night though. And On my days off I'm on chickensmoothie for...8 to 11 hours maybe? (and some of that hours are on my ipod, only at wifi spots)

7 days a week. all week anyway I can. I'm always on when I'm home. And when I'm at wifi hotspots. And when I'm not at home I take a few minutes at school when I can to log on to check messages and posts.

Why do you want to be a fanart archivist?:

I'm a fan artist myself. I've been one for three years (working with several different fandoms like Pokemon and LOZ...) and I really love looking at fanart. I look at fanart on deviantart all the time. Beside that, I just really want to do something for other members on CS. And In all honesty, I believe a Fanart archive is a really great idea! Everything is so jumbled on those forums.

How many hours do you usually spend on CS on an average day?: On weekends or breaks, usually the entire day from maybe 10 AM to 1 or 2 AM EST? Then on school days I get on at 4 PM. So around fifteen hours or so on off days, ten on school days?

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: Every day, though there are very rare exceptions.

Why do you want to be a fanart archivist?: Well, this sounds like the kind of thing I enjoy doing, for one. I really like organizing things of this sort. Plus I really love CS and being able to help and/or impact it in some way would be awesome! Also, while I don't usually look through the site's fanart, this would give me a good reason to, and I'd love to see what there is! ^ v.^ I probably haven't looked through it because of the current organization, honestly; it confused me a bit. > w.<
