As the poll is now, it'd be a positive change because there are more supporters than non-supporters...

that would also leave 800+ CS'ers unhappy, i really dont think that would be good

You keep saying this over, and over, and over again, on every page, while insulting people. Yet, no matter how many times you say it, the poll shows more people are in favor of the change, 65% in fact.
Re-releases and revamps do not necessarily lose value, and there are plenty of people on this thread that have said that they would actually start collecting the older horses because of the change. You're allowed to like the old lines, but its also not hard to believe some people don't, and there appear to be more of them!
I know I'd personally collect more horses with the change, and I love the new Draft lines.

This isn't erasing CS history, this is getting rid of a bad stain of tracing, giving the artists less lines to deal with when making items, and giving a nice uniform, up to date, look for a website that has grown much over the past few years.

Apologies, but I'm a little confused. ^_^;

How would revamps and re-releases lose value?
They'd still have the 'rare' or 'very rare' rarity tags. Except now, with the updated lineart, even more people would want them...! At least, judging by the poll's outcome so far.

So, if anything, I think their value would rise.

Maybe I am missing a TON, but most times on here I see people with re-released pets that are dying to get rid of them for true date pets because the true dates have more value to them. In this case people dont want revamps and all that, they want the original because it is cooler.

i would like to believe this, but i really honestly can't. i've had equimagine horses sitting in my trades for ages and i rarely, if ever, have gotten offers for them. if people really love the old lines, then i'm inclined to think that they would have more demand than they already do. and they wouldn't really lose value i don't think. they would gain it, because yulynh horses in general seem to have better demand than equimagine. :I it seems more a negative to keep them than to get rid of them.

Can't please everybody... *shrugs*
As far as demand goes, MY demand will definitely go up! (I kinda dread the fact that it'd be hard for me to get my mitts on them if they do change lol!)

Now that I take a close glimpse at the old (equimagine) lineart, I actually don't want it to change. I mean, I also agree with you, seaofstarlight, most people are going to probably try to collect them now c: (Please correct me if I'm incorrect)

I honestly don't know if I should vote 'no' or 'yes' because I kind of like how the designs would go onto the new lineart, and I do also like the old desings...

Meep! I can't decide!

If they don't go through with the project, it leaves +1300 unhappy.

I think the problem is that you don't understand how the switch would work. If the lines are, in fact, changed, everyone will keep their pets! The image will change, but they would not be considered re releases. The dates would remain the same, and the rarities would be left unharmed.

I love this idea! I have been hoping for this, although Equi did a great job I've just preferred Yulunhs lineart and the new Draft horse is AMAZING!

True dates are worth exactly the same as rereleases. Some people prefer to have a 'true' collection and want all their pets to be true dates, but that doesn't mean rereleases are worth less then their identical siblings.
