No, I don't like it. It takes away the feeling of the old CS. I don't like it so modernized or whatever. I think there should still be pieces of old CS to look back on as it changes and grows. I like the old linearts better, they're bigger and I like their pose. The old ponies just look way more realistic. I really like the old ponies compared to the new ones. It just won't be the same.

Exactly. Some people may view this as "progressing," when it's really destroying CS history. :3
The equimagine linearts and designs are unique, and I don't think that the designs will work with the new linearts.

If your concern is items not fitting, many CS users have improvised with dress-ups. Besdes, there isn't that many items for horses, anyway, so you could just re-code the horse items to fit the old linearts.

Personally I love the looks of the older ones making the unique and more collectable. It is easy to tell the original from the new, and that is why I love the older ones. It's a part of CS and to just rid of it I do not like.

As Hey Jude mentioned, just to fit more items and be like all the other items, it just not worth it. I have made items work, and it makes my pets look original. Besides, just make them fit older versions by re-coding. Changing the whole pet is not necessary.

So no, I do not support this idea...sorry about that :C

I am well in favor of seeing all the equines on lines that aren't copied from photo's found on various corners of the internet. Honestly the old lines seem rather out of date considering all of the wonderful adoptable's that Yulynh and other artists have given us. So, I look forward to seeing all the equines revamped into new lines, especially the unicorns, they will be gorgeous I'm sure.

I haven't been on the site too long, but I have some input...

Personally, I feel kind of torn on this matter, since I love the look of Yulynh's lines. I haven't been on the site long enough to know the artist Equimagine or get attached to her style, but isn't it sort of... well, disrespectful to the memory of the artist to change her pets? Even if she isn't here anymore, even if CS has every right to, that doesn't mean it should... I'm sure there are plenty of people who adore all the lines, not just the PPS lines. Changing them seems like erasing part of the identity of CS, changing its history, and just for the sake of making things appear less "weird"? I don't find the difference in Equimagine's lines any weirder than the difference in the Tess or Malk lines, and I don't really care whether or not those were "meant" to be unique - it's really no different.

Why not just add different versions of items rather than change the pets? There are items that fit several species, so it can be done. It might mean more work for the item designers, but that isn't a reason to change an entire set of pet lines. Items are optional, but if someone loves the pet lines the way they are now, they may not even like the pet anymore once it's changed.

I totally agree with you as well. I do find it disrespectful, as I wouldn't want my art to be changed after provided so much artwork to the site. Equimagine's artwork it still tons more realistic, I really don't like the PPS stage of the current horses, they all look too happy and cuddly and what not.

I seriously wonder if you would mind, Tess, making it possible to switch back to the old lines of we want. I don't want the change at all. I might trade away all m horses if that's the case. I just wouldn't enjoy the new lines as much. It would be different.
Ugh I sound terribly snobby there. Guess I'm just upset. But is that possible or is it kind of not possible system wise? I'm curious.

I think at this point it would be more of a "is this able to be coded" thing than anything else. I don't know if that could happen, Nick would need to be asked.

Okay. I think that perhaps it would be kind of a nice idea if you could do both. Then people who want the change can have it and people who don't want the change can have what they want too. There seems to be a rather big device between people who do and don't want the change.

Well right now with the division I don't think you guys need to get too bent out of shape over this. It's just an idea and a proposition. If most of the community is against it we won't go through with it. ^^;

This is the biggest reason I want to see the lines changed, and I completely agree.

My opinion is, no. I like how the older horses are. I think they're unique and shouldn't be converted.
They are so pretty and have grown on me. They have character and they are a part of CS's history.

Personally, I've never really been a fan of the old horse lines, and the newer pony lines always put me off a bit, but I'll be a bit sad to see the oldest ponies go. That said, I love the drafts and can't wait to see what the unicorns and donkeys look like once they're overhauled. It should make things a bit smoother looking in my groups, too.
Whichever way we wind up going, I don't think I'll mind much~

And as for the people worrying about the Warrior cat lines: if the Tess horses and Malk drafts aren't being updated because they didn't count as regular monthly adopts, I doubt the Warriors will be updated either, since you adopted them just like the Tess horses. They're unique, and I don't doubt they'd stay that way.
