I'm agreeing with some of the people that voted no, but that won't change my answer. I still think the lines should be changed.
I have nothing against Equimagine, but I personally think her designs would look beautiful on the newest linearts.
That's not the only reason I voted yes, though.
I think it would be more work for the artists to make sure that every horse item fits all the horse lineart. That would be quite difficult and more difficult than actually re-making designs on the newer lineart.

I'm just gonna say this here. Some people don't even know this topic exists so they might now even vote. They might like the old line arts and wouldn't want them changed so the majority is only the ones that know this exists.

I know, but the point of the question was that if people love and hoard the old lineart then they will lose all of it because of the changes.

Things do change. Effort-wise, all of the pets will still be there with the same designs and whatnot. If it's an issue, you can hoard "Equimagine Designs" as Hekomi stated.

thats not the point, people are hoarding because of the lineart what if they only want the lineart, please consider that, they might like the design but might hoard the lineart, everyone like i have said before have their own likes and dislikes,

I agree full heartedly with you. I wouldn't like all my favourite equimagine horses nearly as much as I do now if they changed, they would lose their value to me and i wouldn't like them anymore, im not saying yulyn (can never spell it) art I worse I just believe equimagines should stay equimagines as everytime I go onto my older horse pages an see the new art mixed with the old art, I just think " man, I sure miss those horses, they were beautiful. But at least I have these ones." and I wont have them anymore if they are changed. I don't collect for design. I collect for looks and shape

please, you have got to keep in mind most of these horads are formed because of the lines, change them and the point of the horad will be lost, these people may have traded rares for uncommons and so on in other words overpaid for pets simply because of their lines, its very inconsiderate just to get rid of them. i know like some have said that people should have pets for their designs but everyone had their own likes and dislikes,

also, on the subject of photos are art, im not as offended as it would be if they had copied off drawn art, thats what im trying to imply. i dont agree that its right, im just not as offended as some

Honestly, how many users on this site have a hoard of pets based on equimagine's line-arts? Her pets have low demand, and I understand why those who do love her pets will be upset if the lines are changed, but as it stands now, the facts are that there are more users who want a transformation than those who don't.

Also, why should the project not be done to please only a minority of users? Isn't that more inconsiderate than doing something because a majority of people want it?

yes that is a very good point, and most would agree with you on that, and i see where your coming from, however its not going to upset people greatly if the lines stay, you have managed to live with them for quite a while, just because the majority think one thing doen't mean its right.

How would you like it if you made a pet and then down the road someone changed it because they thought it looked crappy? I know I would hate it. It should stay the way it is, that is all I am saying. And if you look at teh percentages of the voting, yes there is a majority that wants to mix everything up but there is a LOT of people who do not want to change the lines.

Majority rules, that's how it goes. Tess isn't going to upset the masses for the few. Everyone knows how that goes if you look back in history.

No one said it looked crappy. Equi gave her lines and designs to us, as all artists do when they make art for CS. This is not her personal art, this is art she made for CS as a whole. The 'revamp' [if you can even call it that] just took her original intention and made it that much more. It's still the same design.

It is NOT that much more though. It just wont look like an older pet, it will look like some re-release. re-releases dont hold value, people want originals. Even if originals dont look 'classy' at least they are made by the artist who came up with the lines and the designs. Even if she did sign them over or whatever to CS I just dont feel like they have the right to change it all up. And your right I would not call it a revamp, just simply a horrible move.

True, I never said she would. But I think that they should rethink it if there is close to as many people against it as there is for it.
