It's not that good guys- everything is kinda going downhill. EVERYTHING is being controlled- private messages? Not anymore, CS is watching them too. And now the pictures is a big no no, how are we supposed to have good RP's when everything is just being controlled to the limit? Whats next CS- drop down boxes with replies in them? Because that's what it feels like it happening.

The staff is only doing what needs to be done to make sure the users of this site keep to child friendly content. You should be well-aware that by joining a site that is openly enforcing a child-friendly policy, you won't get to RP 18+ content.

By the way, PMs could always be read by the Administrators, the point is that they usually don't do it, though - only if they have reason to assume you're breaking the rules in them or it's otherwise needed to resolve a conflict.
If you want to RP explicit or overly violent scenes, perhaps you'd like to take those things to E-Mail (for example if you're looking to RP with a specific user you met on here), or another site altogether. There are thousands of roleplaying forums out there, many of which won't have the restrictions that CS has.

And I always thought a good roleplay, like a good book, is about the writing skills of the authors?

CS is growing as a community, so naturally change is very much needed every once in a while.
I've seen people complain about every single change that has been made to the site so far, but in the end it has always been for the greater good.
Sometimes individuals have to accept restrictions in order to make the experience better for the community as a whole.

Guys, I'm not trying to start issues, but please examine this following word combo.

Most of you will think, "A message, which is to be viewed by only those allowed." Not in the land of CS, It should only be viewed if someone reports a pm for something, not open to everyone. If two people want to RP something through PM. It should be allowed. Maybe some little catch to it. But not like this. I mean, If someone can direct me to a site that is almost like the OLD, LOVED cs, I will gladly go there. But Now I look back to all the money I spent here to support CS to show I loved it. Now I just sit here like "All that money I could have used towards something I need," It just ticks me off. All good websites change, I know that. But this is just too much.

Again, not trying to start anything, just voicing what I'm doing.

Now that i'm on my laptop and checked out the new changes, i'm very pleased! It's a great change, i love the new RP rules also!

I just read all the roleplaying rules, and I don't think they are going overboard at all. Except the kissing parts. What, do we fade to black when we want out characters to do more than a peck kiss?

I think that if you have a problem with CS roleplaying rules, you should probably roleplay on a different site. This is a childrens website after all. I wouldnt want my little sister seeing anything that they outlawed! Haha.

The only thing I have problems with so far is the kissing, which really isn't that huge, abd the fact that it isn't all that easily accessible on mobile, which is what I'm stuck on.
Also, I'm not a gigantic fan of separating the roleplays into regular and lit/semi-lit. But thats me, and I can get used to it

I'm glad that CS is still taking such great care of the website. Its really, my second home. I have more friends on here than irl xD

Of yeah, another thing, we aren't allowed to post links to more than one picture? Well, what if we have a shapeshifter character who could be a really detailed animal, or a human with carson ratios that can really only be described in a picture? That would make it difficult, wouldn't it? Would this bw an acception?

I don't see the issue with CS as a whole here.
The site's primary focus is on the adoptables, it has always been.
The forums, with all it's aspects, such as roleplaying and the oekaki, are extras.
If you are mainly here for the roleplaying, and wouldn't enjoy CS much without it, then yes, I'm sorry to hear that you're finding yourself more boxed in with the new rules in place. But again, this is the price you have to pay for RPing on a child-friendly site.
If you are looking for a forum in which you can roleplay without being restricted in the contents you post, it would be better for you to find a nice roleplaying community in a forum specifically made for that purpose, rather than a site like CS, where the main aspect of the site is something completely different.
Maybe even start up your own RP forum with the buddies you found here - it has been done before, and quite a few projects have been undoubtedly successful.

Really, I'm sorry to hear people are fearing for the fun of their RPs after the rule changes, but it IS for the good of the community as a child-friendly place. CS is a children's site. The majority of users here are younger than 18.

Oekaki is glitching. Like, I'll try and load it, but the box where the canvas usually is, when I scroll up and down it just drags in little bits, kinda glitchy like smoothly across where the canvas should be.

For those of you who are stressing about the new roleplay rules, I know of a website that is much more lenient with their rules. PM me if you want the name, I'm not going to "Advertise" it here.

But I still see the same CS. But one that is changing and adapting to become better! And I think thats what theyre doing. This is new, and there will probably be some more changes to be made, but ultimately, they can't please everyone. I agree with Amazilion, this place was originally for the adoptables, so if you want to rp, but cs rules are too strict for you, rp on a place that is meant for rp. Easy

TThe new Roleplay board set up is just what I needed for finding roleplays at my level~
