We need your feedback on an update to the rarity system!

I do think at least Very Uncommon would be a good idea to add, but I feel adding 4 new rarity categories would maybe be a bit much? I also feel Extremely Uncommon would feel a bit weird? I kinda get adding EC and ER, but EU would just feel weird to have in the middle?
I'm not against a couple more labels like Extremely Rare being added though.
Personally, I think a middle ground between VU and EC+VU+EU+ER would be the best.

Four new categories sounds really overwhelming. I’d much rather just have pets spread out more across the existing categories, or even just the addition of one new category

honestly, the addition of 4 new labels sounds awesome to me, and sounds like it would possibly enable fairer trading, so i'm all for it!!

I actually don't think new labels in the OMGSC-UC range will do anything other than confuse players as these rarities are so low people generally aren't bothered by small changes in value. I already barely differentiate between them, and having to worry about an additional low-value rarity tier would be more headache than a help for me.

However, I do think there could be some potential benefits in adding a tier or two in the valuables range (between R/VR/OMGSR maybe?) as the gaps are much more significant there, especially as we get to older pets.

edit// Just saw the 4 new rarities option would add two new uncommon tiers, which, huh? If we're going to add new tiers why not use one them to distinguish between R and VR instead of... 3 levels of UC?? I'm confused by these divisions which leads me to vote to just rebalance pets within the current rarity system.

personally i've thought we needed a bridging rarity between uncommon & rare for quite some time now, so i'm all for a very uncommon option being added!　four new rarity categories seems a bit excessive, but that seems to be what most people are voting for.　i agree with what some other people are saying about the lower rarities not being necessary & just causing more of a headache for new players when trading, but uncommon & up definitely need one or more additional categories.　maybe just 'very uncommon' & 'extremely rare' need to be tossed into the mix?

Personally, as someone who's not super active in trading (in part because of how confusing it is), I'd LOVE for there to be more useful categories.

The more the merrier in my book, having rarities written directly on the pets is much less confusing than attempting to memorize values based on jargon like MAs, nons, and sorbs; all of that is what's really confusing, it's entirely unintuitive and based on rote memorization, I hate it.

I don't have enough brain cells left to devote to something like that, and I'd rather stay in my cave as a tradeless hermit than try to look up charts and explanations of what on earth a MA is and how many '09 rares it's worth every time I want to send a trade.

Big support for at least Very Uncommon and Extremely Rare rarities! Just those two would at least be vastly helpful. Thanks for implementing this! I think this is a good first step to start with.

Four new rarities in a rarity system like CS' can be a bit overwhelming. I would really like to see another poll on how many rarity options CS should add.

I feel like I have the more unpopular opinion, but I personally already have enough trouble remembering and keeping up with how many rarities we have now. Having more would be overwhelming and stressful due to my adhd. I’d probably avoid trading altogether because I feel like it would be intimidating and make demand even worse than it already is. Instead of focusing on trading a common for a common, I now have to worry about a bunch of sub categories in between rarities which is simply off putting.

I am devastated to see so many people vote for four new categories. For people with visual impairments, colour blindness, etc. this might be a disadvantage. For me, it will be.

Btw, every time that I have mentioned my disability and the difficulties that arise from it, I have been invalidated. This includes admins to whom I have send a help ticket. I have no doubt that this will happen again this time.

In my opinion multiple new categories would be beneficial, but not really needed for the lower rarity pets as there isn't much trouble trading them now. Uncommons and up would be clearer with more rarities especially trading wise trying to figure out their worth. So what I'd find the best would be spreading the common side down for the existing categories and adding some new ones for the high rarity end only. This would clarify the values of the high end pets in trading making it easier to be fair without consulting multiple other players and some forum lists of pets
