If I found out someone had traced my photograph, that I put hours of work into (because lots of work goes into them!) I would be furious. It would be no different to fimding out my artwork had been traced. No professional photographer would be happy to see there work being stolen.
I can tell you for a fact, you would NOT be happy if you wandered onto some random site and saw people taking your work and claiming that they did it.

I knew it was around here somewhere :D This is the most blatant example of tracing - I'm sure equimagine didn't do it maliciously, but I'd rather not have my beloved pets - like this guy ;

in danger.

(and I've gotta say - what singles him out of the bunch is his design, not his lineart)

Admittedly, very similar.

@ Minimanta - Art theft is still art theft, and if you know how long it takes to get a great shot, then you'll agree, I'm sure, that it's hard work ^^
@HorseFan21 - There's proof that the rainbow mane lines and the draft lines are traced, too. Give me a minute, and I'll find a link to the comparison post.

@BreyersFan - more then just similar. Identical. You can't get that sort of line match-up without tracing, and she's already admitted to it.

I know a spare time photographer, I know it takes time to get a good photo.
But again, they're just horses *shrug*

It's not like she traced a painting (I can definitely see why that's wrong) or traced something unique.

I just noticed that when Malk redid her lines, the old ones were kept in the form of a plushie. Could something similar be done for these, too?

Well, everyone would react differently. And I really would be happy that my photo was used for something, even without letting me know. Thats why photographers should be asked, maybe they wouldn't mind? Or if would, then pool wouldn't be needed...
Oh, and why take the ponies? Are they "traced" too? I didnt saw them on comparision...

And you're still willing to condone art-theft - knowing it takes time and work to get those photos? D:
(and what do you mean, it's just horses? Like, in terms of site rarity, or ?)

I can't really even see it in the Rainbow Mane, but the others are similar.

For the rainbow mane, only the body structure and hind legs are similar. However, the head, mane, tail, and front legs are positioned differently.
