Edit: Bastet, how did you make the cake stand up like that? When I tried building a giant dog base with frosting, it collapsed.

Hi Snow!
Well, I made a cake, iced it and make the grass with a special icing tip--then sprayed the whole thing green with food coloring spray. Then I took warm rice crispy treats and molded a wolf shape out of them, sat it on the cake and pinned the feet on the cake (and some other parts that wouldnt stay on) together with tooth pics. If you look at the picture of the dog without the icing, you can see that it sits upright. Once I started adding all the icing, the dog model kept slowly shrinking and sinking forward. The whole process was probably about 5 hours. I really wanted to make a rice crispy mini squiddy and make the legs icing in the shape of a "3" hanging on the side of the cake, but by the time I was done with Avian and working on adding details and writing on the chocolate cake, Avian was starting to sink a lot causing the icing to crack. I then added the 3 in icing and started taking pictures before she looked like she was nose down and asleep on the cake.
I think if I ever do another one, I will freeze the rice crispy molded dog after I make it, so It cant 'melt' again. Im no professional by any means. I think I have made a few flat and boring cakes in my day, but I gave this my all, since CS is my love!

I love all the cakes! I'm sure some professionals are the winners, but at least I had fun and made it by myself. My mother is making me type this but, she thinks that they should divide it into two groups: under 18 and over 18. I think the people who are winners deserve it! They look like they put a lot of work in them! I love, i mean love, the tree one in first place! It's awesome!

I don't think it's really necessary to divide it into two categories-- it's not like there were hundreds of entries, and professional training isn't needed to make an awesome cake, anyway. X3

Thank you everyone! My grandparents thought I was nuts for wanting broccoli for my cake but I'm very, very glad I did it anyways! lol

By the way, I'm also just under 18 and anything but a professional. Before this, I had never decorated a cake in my life. xD

We have no plans to remove the gallery, it should be available for ages.
