What date did you register as a CS member?:
I joined on Sunday September 6, 2009. Almost three years exactly. :3

How many posts have you made in the forum:
Including this post, I have posted 12960 times.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Every day, except the occasional day that something comes up and I cannot be on. I will try to be here as much as possible if I am chosen. Vacations and trips are not common for me, so I'll be on in all of my free time. xD

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Depending on the events of that week day and homework assigned and all that balooga, anywhere from 30mins-6 hours. :3 My average is around 2-3 hours on the weekdays. On weekends I'm on practically the whole day, so usually I fit in about 9-15 hours. xD I wish I could be on even more, but that is what I can do. On weekdays I'm on in the afternoons, sometimes in the mornings to check up on stuff, and like I said, all day on the weekends.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them.
I am an admin/moderator at The Solstice Herds.. That is the only off-site place where I am moderator. I moderate at many threads on-site, including Bat Eared Foxes and my own thread, Zel Valley. In the past I have owned/moderated many threads, so I have some experience. :3

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
All the time. <3 I've got about 40 pages of artwork, if that tells you anything. ;3 I love art and I love to draw. I have a high respect for art of all kinds.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes. :3 I love seeing all kinda of art, the different styles, ways of coloring, etc. I like seeing all the ranges of variety in art, from animals to humans to objects. It really fascinates me. I do not usually post, but I like too look. :3

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
First of all, I would like to say that I realize that up until about a year ago I have not shown great responsibility and maturity on CS. But that has changed, and I would like people to realize that I'm not the same person that I was a year ago. I've changed a lot. I feel that I can be very responsible for this job. Every day I would spend a lot of my time doing this new job, making sure we have no art nabbers lurking art with stolen art. I will just say that art theft is a big thing that urks me. >.< I do not understand why people would want to steal art that does not belong to them! I want to be able to help correct their wrong doings peacefully and appropriately and make sure it doesn't happen again. Although art theft is a huge problem, it is not the only one. Some people feel it is okay to post disturbing and inappropriate images on CS, and I would like to help fix that as well. I realize that there are many 13 and younger year olds on this site and viewing that content is not right for them. However, finding and correcting criminals, so to say, is not the only thing that I wish to accomplish by being a CS Oekaki Moderator. I want to be a role model for the CS community, to show people how you should act with art. Art is such an amazing thing that people need to learn to be able to have fun with and respect while following rules at the same time! I want to be a leader for those who need help, a helping hand for those that need it. Being a mod isn't all about deleting bad posts and sniffing out art thieves- though that is a huge part of it- and not many people realize that. Another thing that I hope to accomplish if I become the Oekaki Mod is to give back to CS. Chicken Smoothie has played a HUGE role in my life through art, music, writing, etc etc. I have learned so much! All of my teachers have always said I've had artistic and writing abilities beyond the basic student.... where do you think I've learned/practiced it from? HERE! I want other users to feel the same way I do about CS. I want them to realize the art theft isn't right and that we should all enjoy art without having to claim things that aren't theirs. I want them to be able to have such an amazing experience here like I have rather than having to worry about art theft or think about if they should commit art theft. On another note, I'd like to be a mod because I could help people. Helping is what I love to do. :3 One of my closest friend is a COPPA'd member, and she has said she's waited for days at a time sometimes to get her art and posts posted. I want to fix that, help those members get their posts and art posted fast. Another thing is the mumbo jumbo of mixed up art. Some people accidently post their color ins in oekaki, or their sketches in intermediate. I would like to help people out with that, get their color ins to color in, their sketches to sketches end experiments. It would help clear up the Forums a bit. Yet another thing I wish to help with is to break up fights. Sometimes fights break out between users about art, references, opinions, critiques, etc, and they need to be broken up. I feel that I can be unbiased in helping to mediate the situation to help the users work out their issues and go back to being good little members of Chicken Smoothie. Being a mod would be something that would be a HUGE honor, and I would take it completely seriously.

Overall I feel that I could be a very responsible reliable moderator. I would help daily as much as I can. I would be clearing up the forums, helping post COPPA'd members posts faster, sniffing out the art thieves, removing bad content, breaking up fights, being a good role model, helping members, etc. I would take this job very seriously and work diligently to improve the art community of CS to result in a better whole.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
First of all, I took a peer mediation class and was a peer mediator. Some of the kids I mediated are best of friends now! I still mediate today through the National Junior Honors Society, a program that is in many schools, including mine. I also tutor and help students out with a wide variety of things from music scales to math homework. I have good people skills, or so I am told. I am able to communicate clearly and usually get my point across. I'm also very friendly. :3 I like to meet new people all the time. I am also told I am a strong and considering leader. If I am chosen for the position I am wanting to help be a leader for all Chicken Smoothians, to set a good example.

Thank you for taking the time to look over my application.

Sorry Tess, I changed my mind, I'd much rather be a RP mod or General Helper when that comes out >.> So I've quit my form.

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: I registered for Chicken Smoothie on Thursday, January 20th, meaning I've been here for about eight months.

2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): I've made a total of 820 forum posts since 7:04pm on 8/31/2011

3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? I usually visit Chicken Smoothie everyday.

4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? I usually spend about four hours on and off on Chicken Smoothie.

5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them. No, but I would love to gain some experiance.

6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes, I use the oekaki to draw most, if not all, of my pictures.

7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yes, I love to veiw other peoples' art.

8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? I think that being a CS moderation would put to use my love for things being in order as well as my wanting for fairness. I really hate when people post unkind things on the forums thinking they can get away with it. It's rude and just downright irresponsible!
I also notice I lot of people who either post accidentaly onto a board they weren't supposed to or who don't have enough, or too much skill to post on the forum they did. I can tell people their art isn't good enough without making them mad, and definitely tell people their art is too good! Plus, I love CS and the amazing artists that post here.

9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?) I'm in the Junior Honors Society, Girl Scouts(Cadette), and am in my school's band program. Plus my English teacher says I have excellent grammer and punctuation.

What date did you register as a CS member?: Wed. November 13th,2010. I'm pretty sure that was more than 6 months ago for sure.

How many posts have you made in the forum: 1,867. (Over 300.)

▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: All of them :3 Unless I'm traveling or I'm stuck on vacation. (Yes,I did say "stuck.") When I'm away from my PC,then I'm at my worst.

▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: As long as I feel,or as long as I'm not available-which is over an hour or two a day. I try to leave some time in for family, friends, and TV.

▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪
Have you moderated on any other forums before?: Not really,I mean,I have once. It was an RP Refuge site that I can't find the link to. I was actually the creator-and it was quite successful. But now,I believe its dying. Only 4 members get on a day. (Its run for 6 1/2 months.)

▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?: Yesh! Much more now that I've gotten used to me tablet. Its much better than most drawing programs. It beats GIMP by a landslide.

▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?: Very often. Almost an hour every day-but not too obsessively. Actually, yes. I'm fascinated with the great amount of great,no exceptional artists on CS. I go there quite often-sometimes even liking them.I would have no problem going to browse more if its needed.

▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪
Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?:
I really want to make CS a better place. Not everyone has mad art skillz, but that doesn't mean you can pick on them. And,sadly, even If I don't believe it-there are people like that. I love to help people, and get that good feeling inside after they say thank you(or not,its natural.) If I see a "please move this",I will, and if I see spamming then I will politely ask them to stop. I have never committed an art crime(or any other kind) and neither has Naoko(Dee). I really don't get offended very easily at all-and I'm sort of hard-headed when if comes to enforcing the rules(right to the point.) If someone continues to be rude then I will happily ask them to stop,or give them a warning. I'm always looking for the bullying/rude comments/questions/spam around the oekaki(and sometimes other) boards. If I see any,I'd be glad to deal with it or report it to the other staff/team members. I'm also very quick with replying to PMs and questions. And last-I'm love to get to know the CS staff! It would be wonderful. :3 And I've always wanted to feel/be important to CS(oh,and get the word out.)

▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪ ▫ ▪

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: Well,I have 4 younger brothers. Does that count? I mean-you have to put up with their bullying and tormenting. I also learned to have some patience from baby-sitting small children(under the age of 5.)

(Dee's power is out because of Irene,so she can't fill out the form.)

Well, I will be truthful here. Ever since I got my iPod touch, I have not gotten on as often. But if I do get this position, I will try to be on as much as I can. School has started for me as well, so time is rather limited, sadly.

Re: Oekaki Moderator - job applications now open!

Postby Chii-sai » Thu Sep 01, 2011 12:39 pm

What date did you register as a CS member?:
I registered August 15th, 2008.

How many posts have you made in the forum?:
As of now, I have made 1,772 posts.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?:
Every day if possible! I seem to be going on a lot of trips as of recently (camping, etc), so there will be a few days I'm unable to get internet access- there are even a few days coming up that I'm going to miss, but I check back right away.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?:
Now that school has started, I'm on at least three hours a day, and at most around five or six. Weekends are usually unknown- if I'm home, I'm on or at least checking most of the day, at my friends house, a couple hours, and if I have rehearsal for a play/musical I'll most likely be on around two or three.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them:
Yeah, I have, but unfortunately they've been lost over the years- most of them occurred back when I was younger, so I probably didn't do that great of a job anyway...

Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Many times- the first post I ever made was an Oekaki drawing, if I remember correctly. I'm there daily, and spend most of my time there when I'm on Chickensmoothie.

Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Definitely. I love just looking around. I might get stuck in a few conflicts here and there, but I don't really stay in them long- after all, there are the Moderators, so I'm not really necessary.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
Wow.... so many reasons, and I don't really want to seem a bore... Well, I guess one of the biggest reasons would be getting the opportunity to clear up a ton of conflict I see around the Oekaki boards- most of it's pretty pointless and shouldn't have even started (arguing over "constructive criticism", art theft, etc.). The second reason would definitely include just being able to give back to CS- all the moderators and administrators do so much for the rest of us, and the thought of getting to actually help out just gives me chills! I tried out for the General Helpers, thinking it might be a great job to pursue, but when I didn't qualify for the job I didn't feel too upset about it. And now that I've seen Oekaki Moderators open, I just can't stop smiling, seeing that I actually might have a chance to do something I love! Not only do I get to peruse the Oekaki and enjoy watching different artists grow, as I'm sure some watched me, but I get to help this wonderful website out and all of the people who spend their days glued to the computer screen with me!

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I'm pretty fair minded and don't take sides- I don't know tons of people out there, so the chance I might run in to one of my "friends" is slim, so I'll keep an impartial attitude about the conflict at hand. As I stated before, I'm on the Oekaki every day, so I won't be going out of my comfort zone, or even out of my regular routine, other than moderating for wrong-doings. I know how to work with the Oekaki, so for any newbies/KOPPA'd, that could be useful. I can tell the difference between constructive criticism and rude remarks. I might be incorrect, but I might know a little bit of how moving threads, locking threads, etc. work, as well as giving warnings and comments on an account.

In all, I want to thank Tess and everyone else for the wonderful opportunity to help out this great community of people, and whether win or loose, I love ChickenSmoothie! 8D

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: Five months (: *crosses fingers* Allthough i have been on my friends CS alot before that.
2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 3991
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Maybe, 7 at the most. I get on daily but sometimes its only 6 hours a day on mondays-thursday. On friday through sunday though, i am on cs almost all day .
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? About 4 hours a day as stated above. (on weekdays .. sorry if it is complicated to understand! )
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: yes in oekaki : here
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw? Yes, i use it alot actually . Its the only art program i do use.
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there? Yes, i also like to give alot of critique and commentary to art pieces.
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS? Well there's quite a few reasons, one would be because I'd like to help the other oekaki moderators in cleaning up the posts and moving art where needed and when other users ask ! My other reason is because I like to help people, i would love to be on the CS team and would be honored to be such a thing .
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?) Yes, i have taken a couple classes in high school, such as: life management , human resources , child development , and home economics. I have also been honored to be a substitute teacher and assisstant for my aunt's child therapy classes for children of the ages from 7 to 16. 1.What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 6 months ago, do not apply)
Mon Dec 21, 2009 2:26 pm (Not sure I need the time, but I'll be safea)
2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
1066
3.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
All 7, unless I'm away on a trip. I will at the very least try to get computer access even then, however.
4.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
(edited because it was wrong) 4- maybe twelve or more, unless I'm away. I do try to get on for at least 2 hours a day.
5.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them.
(edited slightly) Sadly, no, other than a few webs roleplay sites when I was younger. I owned a petsite with a rarely used shoutbox, but it's gone now. In beta I decided I didn't have the money to pay an artist or coder, and I didn't quite have the skills to handlethose duties all by myself. I am, however an artist on http://www.brightlights.myadopts.com/
6.Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Yes. I have a total of 62 "published" drawings in it. A lot of them, however, are from my newer days, because for quite a long time I didn't have the Java plugin.
7.Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Yes! It's one of my favorite uses of time on CS. The art there can be cute, stunning, powerful, and generally gorgeous, so I spend a lot of time browsing there.
8.Now the important question: Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I have a lot of spare time on my hands, even with homework, and I feel that a great use of it would be helping out on a site that means a lot to me, so to speak. I spend more time on CS than any other site (although I'm not a big poster), and it is probably one of the best communities I've seen. I know firsthand how difficult running a site can be, and willl, if chosen do all that is in my power to help out. Also, there'd be nothing like looking through the amazing drawings in the oekaki for a job.
There's also a slightly more selfish reason- the experience. As a teenager looking to gain life, work and volunteer experience, especially with computer related studies (one of the careers I'm considering), this is a perfect thing to add to my "resume".
9.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
I do have a few skills that I think I can bring to the table. I'm very level-headed and good with people, and know how to be firm but fair. I have done volunteer and paid work with small and school-aged children, and also have (though I likely won't need it) basic and somewhat intermediate coding skills.

Question!!
