1. Have you ever posted art in any of the oekaki boards before?: Yes
2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before?: I have not, but I look at and comment on the recent entries almost daily.
3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?: I think that it's a good length.
4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?: I'd be fine with it.
5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far?: They've all been good c: They leave a great amount of room for creativity.
6. If you're someone who uses the oekaki but doesn't use the weekly challenge board - tell us why you don't use it: I mean to use it every time, I just never end up doing it. Probably because whenever I draw I draw completely random stuff, not usually inspired with a theme. But even if I don't use it, I will in the future, and I would like it to stay.

1. Have you ever posted art in any of the oekaki boards before?:
Almost all the time! ..Well, not now because my computers broken but xP

2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before? If so, how many times have you joined the challenge?:
Yep! Only a few times though, I usually have little motivation to draw certain prompts :c

3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?:
I think a week is ample time to spit out a little sketch, some people might request more for detail but I see no issues with the time limit so far

4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?:
There could be a button or something that let's you redo old challenges! Like we could have a little archive of past themes that people can try to tackle if they missed or forgot

5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far?:
I've only done a few, but as what I've seen every week they're different and creative, and some look like they might have been really fun to do

6. If you're someone who uses the oekaki but doesn't use the weekly challenge board - tell us why you don't use it:

1. Have you ever posted art in any of the oekaki boards before?:
Yes, a few color ins.

2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before?
No.

3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?:
I draw slowly and sometimes I get buried in work/chores for a week. Having it every other week would be neat, but I understand how some of the faster artists might not like that.

4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?:
Sure! It's also a great bar to see how you've improved if you decide to do it again!

5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far? (some examples were to draw your fursona as another species, or to design a character inspired by the current season)
They're great, though a lot of them are centered on characters. Some challenges where anatomy is not the focus would be nice for those not too skilled in anatomy and it would give practice for doing other things like objects or scenery. (Or is that boring?)

6. If you're someone who uses the oekaki but doesn't use the weekly challenge board - tell us why you don't use it: I don't feel as if I'm enough of an artist to use it  But if I were learning/actively practicing, it would be a great tool.

1. Have you ever posted art in any of the oekaki boards before?: (if your answer is no, please skip question 2 and 3) Yes
2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before? If so, how many times have you joined the challenge?: Yes only twice, due to school getting in the way.
3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?: I think it will be fine, since summer is getting closer for us in the United States.
4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?: Yes
5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far? (some examples were to draw your fursona as another species, or to design a character inspired by the current season) I like them so far.

Yes, twice. c:

3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time?
I think that the time limit isn't really enough, and that it could be a few days longer.

4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?:
Yes, there have been times where i've wanted to do a challenge but it's been too late.

5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far?
I think that the themes so far have been really fun and challenging to do. c:

6. If you're someone who uses the oekaki but doesn't use the weekly challenge board - tell us why you don't use it:
I don't use either anymore because of Java's security mess up thing or whatever happened.

2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before? If so, how many times have you joined the challenge?:

    1. Have you ever posted art in any of the oekaki boards before?:

Yup. I spend more time lurking among the oekaki than sitting around the forums.

    2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before? If so, how many times have you joined the challenge?:

Nope. I think this is mainly due to the fact that it takes me forever to produce a line art and even then I am most likely not happy with it.

    3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?:

I would say one week is too short, defiantly. I am usually busy with school and adoption centres which means I don't tend to come to the weekly challenge to draw.

    4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?:

Personally I'd say no because I like to see the new ideas every week, but maybe bring a theme back once or twice later on so we can see how people have improved and what newer users are like. c:

    5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far?

They look quite good, but slightly challenging to do.

    6. If you're someone who uses the oekaki but doesn't use the weekly challenge board - tell us why you don't use it:

Well if I haven't explained above, it's basically because I A. Don't have enough time. Or B. I am too busy working on other things.

1. Have you ever posted art in any of the oekaki boards before?:
Yep.

2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before? If so, how many times have you joined the challenge?:
I have once or twice.

3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?:
I think it's a good amount of time, but for those of us who get really busy/forget, two weeks might be better.

4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?:
I don't see why not. ouo Especially if it's spaced out when the challenges are being reused, it could be fun, even for people who did it before, to do it again later on. I keep forgetting to check the challenges, so I missed a bunch that I think would've been a lot of fun to draw.

5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far? (some examples were to draw your fursona as another species, or to design a character inspired by the current season)
They seem like fun ideas!

6. If you're someone who uses the oekaki but doesn't use the weekly challenge board - tell us why you don't use it:
I'm not actually sure why I haven't participated in more of the challenges. I've always loved the idea, I guess I just forget that they're there.

I've also only just recently gotten back into using oekaki, for a long time I just wasn't comfortable in the program anymore (after I got my tablet) and was unwilling to draw in it. I've been doodling in it more often now, and I think I'm more used to how it works. Once the challenges are back up again, I'll make sure to join in, because I always did think they'd be fun <3
... hey I'm Neel! I'm a preschool teacher by day
... with a background in illustration and graphic design.
... I drop by CS from time to time to doodle, so feel free to
... send me a PM and I'll get back to you when I can!

1. Have you ever posted art in any of the oekaki boards before?:
Yes, I rather enjoy it! Although I haven't had much time to draw on oekaki lately.

2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before? If so, how many times have you joined the challenge?:
Not as of yet but I hope to in the future.

3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?:
Generally I think the time limit is good. If the users would like to participate badly I'm sure they would get it done in the allocated time. If the users are not bothered with the challenge I don't see why they wouldn't mind missing the odd challenge if they were too busy.

4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?:
Oh Of course, for those who missed them or for those who would like to attempt the challenge again.

5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far? (some examples were to draw your fursona as another species, or to design a character inspired by the current season)
So far I'm really pleased with the ideas. They are fun and creative. Personally I'd enjoy challenges to do with my fursona/characters.

6. If you're someone who uses the oekaki but doesn't use the weekly challenge board - tell us why you don't use it:
At the moment I don't have time but in the future I will participate.

1. Have you ever posted art in any of the oekaki boards before?: Sadly, no... I am not very good at "artsy" things, but I enjoy complimenting people on their artwork c:

4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?: Yes, I do. But it shouldn't be too repetitive, because then the older users - users who have already been participating in the challenge - wouldn't have as much fun c:

5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far?
I haven't been paying much attention to the themes since I don't participate in the challenges... but you seem to have a nice variety of different challenges/themes, so I think you are doing pretty well c:
