Rarity system updated to add 4 new categories!

I am a new player, so I don't have much of a say, but I noticed a lot of my uncommons were moved to common. pretty disappointing since that's all I collected but oh well.

I'm currently entertaining myself by going through old trades and seeing how fair or unfair they ended up being lol. For the most part, my trades were simple, but I remember a few where I was unsure whether or not to ask/offer another rare or uncommon.

i just finished re-ordering all my extra pets for trade (it took so long T-T it was almost 400 pages of pets) and wow so many more uncommons!

here are some numbers for funsies:
- trade groups before update:
rares (aka R, VR, OMGSR): ~500
uncommon (aka UC): ~1750
commons (aka C, VC, OMGSC): ~5350

- trade groups after update:
rares (aka R, VR, ER, OMGSR): ~500
uncommons (aka UC, VUC, EU): ~3300
commons (aka C, VC, EC, OMGSC): ~3800

Wow... just looking through my ungrouped section, I'm stunned! I was pretty reserved about the change. I knew it was going to be a good thing, but I wasn't sure how it would truly look in action on my gaggle of pets. While I'm stunned, all of their rarities do make sense.

I think a lot of folks will be thrilled to make their "get an omgsr" goals today, haha. I already had a couple, but I, uh, certainly have several more now. My biggest surprise, I think, was the shift to VR for my Halloween grown banner bug dragon. VR suits it; it was hard to find and I traded a VR to get it, but I was still surprised. In the back of my mind my little trading soul is shouting, "Vindication!" For all the times I felt weird for trading a VR for him, haha.

Staff members are able to get a custom pet once they've been on the team for awhile - these pets only exist once, so giving them a normal rarity is pretty silly (since they're also not likely to be traded anyway).
They get their own bar, the custom bar, so that they have something. =)

Looks good. Now, when will we get "sort by rarity" option? It's missing for years.

As a old school beta player this is more confusing and difficult to understand. Trading was so difficult as is so now im hoping it wont be to difficult with all these new and more complex system.

i cant wait to see this and how it works but I dont seem to like this it looks more complex and confusing.

ps - i am glad see some turned omgsr and i can add to my omgsr list at least ^^;

Is the rare being red and the very rare being pink a little bit jarring to anyone else? Red is just a more eye-catching color + it used to be the color for very rare so it is a bit confusing to me.
