I'm pretty sure a thread or archive page like this was mentioned back in the earlier part of the thread. :3 Unfortunately, Search doesn't work in Global Announcements, so I can't find the actual posts, but I definitely remember seeing something about an archive, user-made or otherwise.

That would still still be art theft, wouldn't it?

Twilight, you're posting rude things that may be offensive, just saying. :l

An option to switch to the old linearts would be amazing O_o. Literally the perfect compromise. Although I can't imagine the strain that would put on the server, having to alternate for each person. I doubt it could be implemented efficiently without defeating the purpose of this project...
This has been suggested numbers of times, I'm not sure if it's possible or the admins would want that to be an option.
Yeah, the logistics of it would be enormous. Although I suppose if you look at how items function on CS pets and then apply that to the principle of the linearts then I could see it working.
But I'm not a coder in any way, so I could just be talking out of my butt here.

The only thing that's sitting wrong with me is the RBM and PPS thing.
I'm also partial to the old draft but the new ponies because they show motion

I know on Verpets there is the option to switch between current and previous linearts. That being said there are far less verpets than there are pets on CS so I'm not sure what sort of effect that would have on the server. Still I think it's actually a really nice option.

I see some questions, answers, and arguments being repeated over and over and over in this topic. If there is anything that you're unsure of, please just read through the topic first to see if what you're looking for has already been covered.
We have noticed that it seems like the main concerns so far are about a few favorite pets like the PPS ponies and the rainbow mane changing. If the opinion remains divided then we may re-vote with new conditions such as keeping the PPS ponies and have special line edits for things like the rainbow mane horse so that it still looks good on the new lines.
I think that would change a couple people's minds, but then again others who hoard/collect the Equi lines may be upset that a special exception is being made for the PPS. Also, as previously mentioned, the growing linearts (hence, the PPS linearts) seem to be the ones more heavily reference and/or even traced so that could cause arguments as well if only those are kept.
