So reading a bit back on the thread, I see that posts are
looked through when choosing people for positions.
Are PMs looked through as well, or is that kind of stuff
off-limits to most staff??

None of the staff can view PMs as it is to keep privacy for the members. They can only view them if the conversation has been reported. c:

Warnings are only visible to members that have been warned in the last 3 months, then they will not be visible to the member anymore. It is not possible to view your own warnings I'm afraid! However you will have been PM'd before if you did receive one at one point.

For moderating other forums it would be other websites that have forums (For example a fanforum of something). Threads wouldn't count and instead be defined as mini-modding. c:
