That's what I'm saying too! (just not with the Malk horses because I don't think those are being counted) It'd be like in a year or so if we have new Owl lines to redo all the Malk owls. Just not right, in my opinion. The point is that there are different types and some are more called for than others.

Malk's pets will not be touched, it is just the horses that are in question.

The lineart was also traced, as you can read about on the OP and there is a picture on Harpalyce's tumblr that has direct overlays that show obvious proof.
I'd link the tumblr but I am not sure I am allowed.
Nor am I sure I am allowed to talk about her lineart stealing. Forgive me if I missed something, but there isn't anything on the OP?

There is. Right on the front page:
Tess wrote:Some users say that her lines were traced from photos. equimagine has a longer explanation for how they came about, which in a few words is basically that she referenced for personal use, forgot about it when re-using old personal sketches for CS purposes, and that some connections other users made between photos and her lines were coincidental. Some of her lines closely resemble photographs that she didn't have personal permission to use, which upset many users, and was part of the motivation for retiring her lines in the first place. She maintains that she never intended to use photo-copied linearts for CS and that it was a careless mistake. She did update the lines for a second round but people still mistrusted her and her horses and ponies were not very popular at the time (although apparently have more support these days).

Yes I know, I said that. The Owls were just an example. If you want a better one: In 2 or 3 years if Yulynh leaves and we have a new horse lineart. Will you now redo are her pets plus all the equimagine horses before her? That'd be a hard time for the new artist to redo 6 years of horses. Instead it shows the progression of artists and is sort of a legacy of the ones who have left.

I mean a rule that says you are not allowed to mention it in your posts, I know about that quote. c:
I had quite a few posts deleted here that had mentions of it (but nothing negative), and I don't know if that was the reason.

I don't think you should change the old ones, but make new ones. Their linearts make them unique

Special lineart edits for the Rainbow mane...
No thank you, it will never look good on any lines but the ones it's on now.

This is a horrible idea. Equis designs belong on her lines not Yulnyhs. I mean no offense to our resident horse artist but the designs being transferred into her lines feels like your ripping away beloved CS memories. One of my very first pets was an Equimagine horse a pound grab from a friend as a welcome gift. I don't see how messing with the linearts is easier than fixing the items to work with all of the horses not just the new ones or old ones depending on what item your referring to.

The drafts? Fine. The unicorns? Okay.

Anything is a no go. This is a very upsetting idea, why do you feel that ripping away the gorgeous lines is a good idea? For organization? For better trade values or "demand?" People are saying the same things over and over again and even one of the ridiculous CS blogs on tumblr is mentioning the fabled forbidden subject.

Please don't rip away beloved CS memories it's not fair on those who don't want the change. can;t we have a choice on whether or not we have the horses changed? Instead of the poll deciding on the outcome. I do not want my old horses changed just because we have a newer artist whose lineart I don't love anywhere near as much.

I think this is a very important point!
CS is a fairly popular site, and I hope it will last for many years. We won't always have the same artists, will we change them again?
I really feel retired pets are a important part of CS!

Can I just say that those blogs mentioning it aren't ridiculous?
If it comes up so many time, and there is so much proof, maybe, just maybe, they're giving you reliable and true information.
They're actually trying to help inform the general public of CS, and tumblr is the only place to do it since it's not allowed here, for whatever reason.
