Sounds like a great idea! I've wanted to see an inbetween for a while, since I personally don't see myself as a full beginner nor as good as the stuff usually seen in Intermediate. That's mostly why I use the sketches and experiments board. XDD

May I offer up my gallery for examples? I'm not sure which pieces to show, so just whatever that's in there would do. I understand if you don't want to use my gallery for your examples, but hey, never hurts to offer. cx

Thanks for all the gallery volunteers! We are going to write up all these guidelines and rules and display them in the oekaki in the near future so I will include new examples at that time

for those who suggested other categories - we are planning on expanding the oekaki boards very soon and will add a few other boards at that time. Those new boards will possibly include:

comics board (for the multi panel/multi pic storylines) - possibly in a format like "Editables/Colored in" so people can post their cover pics in the main board and then have all their comic pages displayed underneath so that they're easy for people to find

art help/tips/redlines board - also possibly connected to a "colored-in" board so people who edit to "redline" (draw corrections on) images can post their redlines in that board

weekly challenge board which will have a suggested theme for everyone to draw, just for fun (e.g. "everyone draw yourself/your fursona as a chicken") (all levels welcome, it won't be split like our general boards)

and possibly a gift lines board to clear up all of those duplicate "only my friends can edit" oekakis

I haven't planned any prizes for the challenge board, it will probably just be something people do for fun and to make people try something new. Kind of like when we updated our oekaki software and had a testing board for about a week where we asked everyone to draw a chicken - it was so much fun seeing chickens drawn in everyone's different styles
