I am not a newer member but I voted yes. Sorry for ruining your theory.

In my eyes 2012 is a newer member and that's what I'm talking about. By newer I'm talking some 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013.

2010 was three years ago! How can you say that is new?

Because the equi lines stopped in 2010.
Therefore, none of us experienced them and that's why they are calling it "newer"

I'm from '09 and I still voted yes. :shrug: While I am attached to the equimagine lines in a way, I think Yulyn's lines are more realistic (proportion- and shading-wise), and I think that having all the items working on all the monthly adopt horses is a very smart idea. :3

^ I've seen plenty of older members who vote yes to the change, while it's mostly newer members who attach more importance to the 'old line' horses for various reasons (having traded specifically for 'old line' horses, using the Equi lines to identify older designs, etc.). From what I've seen, the majority of older members who were around when the Equi lines were being released are okay with them being changed apart from those who have specific Equi hoards. For myself, I'd love to get the old designs in the new lines, as I much prefer the new ones' movement and expression, plus the updating of the designs themselves like the ones on the front page. :3 I've got a small hoard of Equi horses myself and, while I'd be a bit sad to see the Quarter Horse-style lines go, the gain in how the other designs would look is worth the loss to me.

I don't know if this has been said, but from the few pages I didread through it has not. Would it not be simple for just the ones who want them changed for them to be able to like check a box and change just the horses they want so they can put the items on. Because it seems no matter what you do you are never going to make everyone happy as everyone likes things to be different from what other wants. To me it seems the only way to make the most people happy would be to give them there own choice for there own pets, as with this is changes everyone elses pets too even if they do not want it this way. Sorry if this has been stated before but to me this might be the only way to try and make everyone happy, because if you change them all then we kind of loose a piece of CS with some of the older horses. Like for me I like the look of the older horses better then the new ones and would be sad to see them go for good.

Here's my hypothesis on why there are do many "Yes" votes...

From what I've seen of the comments most of the people voting yes to the change are newer member and therefore have no attachment to the older horses. Those of us who have been raising them, trading them, collecting them for a while have voted "No" as we have an attachment to the horses.

Also be changed to the new line art because they are different? Will the unicorns all be in one line art instead of the different awesome poses they are in now?

I completely agree with what serenade has said. I hadn't thought about the unicorns I think it would be a shame to see any of the horses changed but it would be especially sad for the unicorns to lose their unique lines

not really. i, and many other people i know who have voted yes have been around here since 2008-2009. it's more the fact that a lot of people believe the lines, or at least parts of the lines have been traced [with good reason, but i won't get into that]. considering this site highly advertises against art theft, i see it as a good reason.
in fact, a lot of members i've seen who have voted no are members who've only been here since 2011, or even 2010 [while that's certainly not new, it is when the horses stopped being made if i am correct] and onward.
and as people said before, the tess, malk, etc. horses will be staying. c:

The unicorns and donkeys will also be updated, but the unicorn lines are not finished yet.

I'm personally very glad that they're changing the unicorn lines. :S The eqimagine unicorns look strange and contorted. :shrug: And while I love the old drafts, the new lines are adorable! *o*

I feel torn, I have a soft spot for the old draft line art, but the new line art is simply stunning.
Can we at least get new ones released with that line art too? They would be to die for.

Then again that could just be my soft spot for drafts in general but still.
