I didn't mean I wanted them to copy it exactly. Revamping is revamping and the revamped rain and clouds looks lovely!

I just don't like unnecessary changes that are just for the sake of change and no other reason. Why change the hoof color? It was a striking part of the original design.

Being polite and trying to understand that there are players that are upset that designs they loved have changed will not do you any harm as well. We accept that the lines have to change... we just wish that the designs would have kept a little more true to form in areas where color is concerned.

No, I don't. I seem to remember a certain someone (and several other people that were wondering what the big deal with the 'no's were) stating that we'd have the same colors, just on different lines if the ETP went through. Reassuring the people against the ETP that the designs would not change.

The example page that was give at voting time looks that way to me too: All the pets pictured look as close to exact to me. Their hooves and manes weren't changed at all. Great! ETP looks good then!

Everything after that is not really that close to the original design. While I was in favor of the ETP, this just leaves a sour taste in my mouth that screams 'false advertising'.

False advertising? Now I think you're taking this a bit too seriously. Everyone knew that the designs were going to be revamped, which means changed. Unless Equi came back to switch the designs to the new lines, there was bound to be differences. No true artist is completely okay with copying another's design exactly without, in this case, improving on it.

But believe what you like I suppose, it is your opinion after all. c:

Also keep in mind that it can be very difficult to pick the correct colors from a pre-existing, shaded design. In some cases, the new artist may have had to manually choose a color that looked alright because the original colors where difficult to match or didn't look right on the new lines.
Colors not being 100% exact seems like an odd thing to complain about.

In fact, I've been seeing a lot of complaints that make me feel kind of bad for the artists spending their time and energy making this change. :/ Why poke your annoyance about one or two tiny little things with so little gratitude for what we're getting. If you don't like the change, fine, just say so, but why continue to complain and nit-pick when all it's going to do is insult the artists? The change has already been decided on and it has to be made. Might as well get over it without trying to bring everyone down with you.

I was wondering about the malk dogs, wolves, foxes, and cats. Are they going to change? It said that the malk horses and the warriors wouldn't, but what about other older pets that weren't mentioned?

They won't.

Nope they won't change. Just the equimagines and the Shima foxes as far as I know due to copyright law issues, all the other species I think are okay

A lot of people were not here (lucky them) to see this whole thing go down. This information is still new to them. A bit of patience is required. Many others just want to express their opinions in safe environment without being belittled for it.

However..... I do wish everyone would read First Post before asking questions. Most all questions are answered there.

Hoof color is just one tiny aspect of things... telling people to stop complaining is just rude. This thread is for discussion about the changes and both sides are allowed to discuss it as long as they do so with respect.

I have many things to "fight for", but I never intended to fight in the first place... it would be nice if those attacking the ones who are saddened or upset with the changes would understand that we have every right to be upset and express it as long as it is done in a respectful manner.

You love the changes... that is great.... we miss the unique positions of the old lines and notice changes in areas of some of our favorites when they are changed over and we are supposed to "get over it".

We are not "fighting" the fact that the changes have to happen... just openly mourning the loss of old pets we were very fond of.

exactly. but honestly, i'm completely for the change, and i always have been - i am extremely happy to see the line arts being changed. i just really wish that certain pony was a bit more true to the original design, that's all. the artists are doing wonderfully, and it is a really great design in itself - it's just kind of unnecessary to change such things and seems a bit too different from the original design imo.

The unicorns were changing, and i don't remember reading about a problem with those designs, so i was just wondering. I hope they don't change. I feel like it would be a pity to change them for no reason.
