I get why they have to make the changes. And good on them I say.

But I personally dislike the new lines. I am looking at all my old horses and they just don't have that appeal anymore.

I understand why the changes have been made & I love the new drafts but I really liked the style of the older ponies, foals & arab looking horses, it's a shame they went into the same style as all the other horses and not an arab & different pony style. Don't get me wrong, the revamped designs are well done and some look better than the originals, it's just that I really liked the innocent look of the old ponies, & arabs are my favourite horses. I'm disappointed that the shimaluan foxes are going to change, they are one of my favourite line arts on the site, hope they keep a cute look. On the other hand I wasn't a big fan of the donkeys, unicorns or adult zebras so I'm really looking forward to seeing the new designs for them.

I'm against a changing the old horses and ponies. There is nothing worse than a website wanting to go and change something that everyone loves!! I get sick of having that kind of slap in the face. I like the old horses much better because now if you change them, they will look just as boring as the monthly horses. Why not give the monthly horses a make over? They look boring as idk what. I could decorate them a whole lot better.

The monthly horses dont need a make over because they aren't traced, and according to the majority of polls and threads people like them better as well. Personally, I think they're absolutely beautiful.

Equimagines just looked a bit awkward to me, and they were a form of art theft - a crime. Not that I didn't like them too, I just like the new horses more, and they aren't against my morals as an aspiring artist and mature human being.

The reasons for the change explained quite clearly in the first post, and they are already in progress. I think it's quite rude to say that about Yuluyh's lineart and the artists' designs. They work very hard to produce adoptables each month for you to enjoy, for free I might add, and even if you don't like them you should still appreciate that.

The art theft happened over two years ago; if I was the photographer, I would NOT be happy about my artwork being used this way and only hearing about it years after the matter. This is ridiculous, what happened was ART THEFT. And it quite frankly NEEDED to be corrected because it's against CS's own rules to use others' art in this way.

No, it's not. Saying that Yulnyh's lines are ugly or that Chia or Sorren 'RUINED' Equimagine's lines is rude and extreme. Saying that ignoring CS rules and using traced lines as official art is ok is rude to EVERYONE with a non-broken moral compass. Saying that the photographers SHOULD give us permission to use their work is rude.

They are pixel animals on a website. Whether or not you like them has absolutely zero bearing on whether or not it is ethically okay to continue using them, and people absolutely need to get over it.
There's nothing wrong with saying "I'm really sad these have to be changed. :< I liked them." That is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from "Hey uhhh so what if they're traced and were used for two years anyway? We should just ask permission. It doesn't really matter." THAT is a problem.

(this is not aimed at anyone in particular, but in response to ongoing arguments and reports on this topic)
Please don't pick fights with other people on this topic. The decision to change the old lines has already been made, so there's no need to try and change someone's mind about whether it should go ahead or not.

We believe we made the right decision, and our reasoning is already fully explained in the first post. If people can't be bothered reading that, that's their loss, we're not going to repeat ourselves over and over again to answer every complaint and question raised.

People are welcome to share their opinions and it's fine to be upset about the change, but please remember that the new lines and the replacement colorations were all made by current staff and it's not polite or fair to them to continually post about how you think their artwork "sucks" or how the pets are "ruined" now by their artwork. If you prefer the old versions, just say "I liked the old versions better" or "I don't like them now that they've changed". You don't need to be insulting about it.
