Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation? Do you consider yourself a trade-value expert? Do you already answer a lot of questions in the forum?): Well, I help out on the "Is this a fair trade thread" mostly, I know my list pets very well, and maybe some normal trades. I am starting to help out on the problems thread for any questions. I know my way around CS very well since I'm on all the time. I also am very calm and friendly and I like to use smilies and try and talk gentle to people. I'm good if people are frustrated and are "caps screaming" at me. I also get along with other people very well which can help when giving advice.
Why do you want to be a General Helper? My main reason besides the thrill of helping is well, you see when I joined CS there was so many nice people from the owners to the mods and to regular CS players! Pretty much everyone in our little, or should I say big community is willing to help out. I wanted to be apart of those group of people who help out other users. I then started to help out on threads more. I'm currently trying out the Comfort Corner, it's so nice and friendly there. I'd love to give back to the community since they did so much for me. I also love the warm fuzzy feeling when I help someone. I'd love to take on a good role such as this since, my mini-job would be to help people! I'd love to also have the General Helper role to have access to things that I could do to help even more. I think that's the best advantage ever in my opinion, an advantage of helping people. I constantly refresh the fair trade thread and problems/help thread. I'm a eager beaver when it comes to helping. Pretty much plugged into CS all day unless in class, sleeping, or spending quality time with my fiancée.

5.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:
I am already decently well known, I try to be fair and always try to help Others, I have a calm head on my shoulders, and it is very hard to anger me, I do quite well with trading, only quantity trips me up. I am easy to get along with and know both basic German(Germany) and Spanish(Mexico), as well as quite skilled with English. Other languages, I can always translate, and do my very best with them.

6.Why do you want to be a General Helper?
I love helping others, and would put a lot of effort doing everything I can to help everyone out, I just recently trained my fiancée how to trade, and use the site properly(even though I cant help her temper, she is a wild one) and remembered how much I absolutely love helping members out. I would cherish becoming apart of CS staff, but even if I am not even considered, I don't mind, I can always contribute in other ways.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position? Apart from my huge vocabulary of English, I speak a bit of Russian as well.

Why do you want to be a General Helper? I would love to help members of CS if they are unsure of something on this site. I know quite a lot about CS, the pets, the oekaki, the trading and the forum, and I want to share my knowledge with others.

Every day, unless I have classes, work, or club events.

I can spend upwards of nine hours on a weekday, and upwards of eleven on the weekends.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:
I already volunteer for a local school club, and I don't have a temper. I can fluently speak French as well. For mediating and listening abilities, I enjoy helping others, and have been a peer mediator within my school before. Although not the best at drawing with Oekaki, I am familiar with the program, and can aide others with the program. I know how to use the coding provided on CS posts, and would be more than willing to help with formatting and coding with other CS members. Despite the fact that I may not frequently post on the CS Chat threads such as 'Is This is A Fair Trade?' Thread and 'How Much is This Item Worth?' I do stalk them, and I know my rarities rather well, since I had to learn quickly once I adopted a zebra a few years back.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?
I've gone through times on CS when others helped me, and I'd to be able to give back the community. That, and it would another way for me to become more active, and more fluent on the site with its members while helping others out at the same time.

Most days of the week (usually 7 days, at least 5 or 6 days a week minimum)
**Note: I haven't been too active in the last couple years but that was due to circumstances which are no longer applicable, and I am working on being more active again

3-4 hours total, this varies though (on weekends I sometimes spend as much as 6 or 7 hours on CS)
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position
- I can speak french, I am not fluent but I have been learning french for the last 6 years and can communicate effectively in French
- I am often the mediator between my friends and looked to for advice
- When I was active before, I visited the suggestions/problems forum a decent amount and answered questions when I could. I am familiar with CS policies and can help with most basic CS problems.
- I am very familiar with BBcode and would be willing to help new members figure it out and show them how to edit their profile and trade settings.
- I am a level-headed person and I would not lose my temper if I became frustrated with another member, I would always respond kindly and, if possible, in a way that will help them.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?
I love being able to help people and I feel being a general helper would be a great way to do this. Having the chance to help other members more so than I can now would be wonderful. I love this site and would love to be able to contribute to it through working as a general helper. There is only so much I can do as a regular member that not everyone will recognize as being willing to help. I hope that as a general helper I could reach more people and help more people than I am able to help right now.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: Depends what I'm doing, but I'm usually on for about 2 - 7 hours. I loose count, which gives you a good idea on how long I spend on the site.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: For the more generalised skills, as such, I am very patient, and I do not mind answering a torrent of questions from someone new or from someone who doesn't understand how an element of the site works. I do not consider myself a trade-value expert, but I do know how the "Rares List" works, and I do know more general things, such as how to set up trade rules, how to get your first pet, how to collect items etc. I also use good English. More exclusive skills are probably my diplomacy and "people-person" skills - I know how to calm someone down, how to respond when someone is being unpleasant or rude,and how to help users who can't explain themselves very well, due to English being their second language or any other reason. I also know how to answer questions without having that uncomfortable feeling for the reader that they are a student, or that I am above them in any kind of hierarchy: I'm very friendly and approachable, and I don't think that, if I were to become a General Helper, I would be above anyone in any way (for although Tess has stated this, people have their own separate opinion to where General Helpers lie in the general hierarchy): I would just be one of those people who help around the site and provide help when needed. I honestly don't mind if someone just comes and asks an obvious question: it's a question, and therefore it deserves to be answered - that's how I see it, and that's how I've seen it in various other staff positions I have held on a variety of sites. I think that this history of being a part of a staff body has given me experience on how to deal with people, and I'd like to bring this skill into the general "skill pool" (for lack of a better word) to the General Helper user group already. I also frequent the "Help and Suggestions" forum a lot, and although I would not go as far as to say that I'm a regular face over there, but whenever there's a question just sitting there, I always try to answer it in the best way I can, either providing a written exclamation for something, or, if the question is already been answered by another thread or there's a guide somewhere, I link over to it appropriately. I keep an eye on the forum, and when it comes to responses I try be as detailed as I can so the member gets the best possible answer for their question. I think the only thing that I'm lacking in in terms of what to know about the site is the Oekaki problems (tablet pressure and so on) and the coding element of the site (error messages etc) - everything else, such as pets, account issues and other problems are more generalised and those are familiar territory. I do know a little French and German, too, but I'm more confident with English, being my native tongue.

Why do you want to be a General Helper?: The obvious reason is that I want to help people. I was a little newbie once, and I remember how it feels, wondering about this site aimlessly with no idea what to do, where to get my first rare or how the pets system works. I don't want this experience to happen to another person, frankly, and I want to give people that feeling that they can just send off a PM and then an answer comes back without any mucking around or lagging behind of any sort - quick, efficient service that doesn't mean they have to wait a day and a half for a reply. I've always admired the staff for managing such a large site, and I really want to do my bit and help: as already said, I already frequent the "Help and Suggestions" forum, and I'd like to help on a far broader scale to the people who are a little lost and need some aid. I also think that the role would also give me some experience, and I would learn a lot from being under the orangey name, as well as helping people and helping others learn about the site.
Another reason why I want to be a General Helper is also because of the amount of happiness this site has generated: I would like to do a bit of good on the site and help out as a thank you for making Chicken Smoothie possible. I'm not talking about the pets here (though they certainly are a nice element!), but more about the users. Of course, you're always going to find users here and there who aren't so nice, but I have made some good friends on this site, and I've met a lot of people I wouldn't otherwise have met anywhere else, away from the site. Helping out, in my opinion, would be a thank you to the staff for keeping the site running and for keeping such a nice community here and current. I'm sure you've seen lots of pet sites which look promising and then slowly decline into inactivity: it's really a tribute to Tess and Nick that Chicken Smoothie has run for as long as it has, and that it's still attracting new members and there's still new developments and everything's really current and with the times. Long live Chicken Smoothie, that's what I say.

I try to get on every day at any time possible, but sometimes I go vacations to places that don't have wifi. After all, I am only human and it is not healthy to be on the internet day in, day out.

2 or more hours depending on my schedule.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?:
I speak a little bit of German, though I'm not great at it. English is my main language, but my mother can speak German fluently and she could help translate for me.
Do you consider yourself a trade-value expert?
I wouldn't call myself an expert; I'm more average than expert. However I do try my best in giving advice and tips for trading - often leading people who are confused to the 'is this a fair trade?' trading thread.
Do you already answer a lot of questions in the forum?
Yes, mostly on the introductions forum where I help out new people with important topics to read and helpful information.
Why do you want to be a General Helper?
I absolutey love helping people. It makes me happy to see other people actually progressing on CS and understanding how everything works. It has been one of my CS goals to become a general helper and I wish to achieve it so that I can help more people. :)
