They are under no obligation to give permission, and honestly, in their place, I certainly wouldnt.

Honestly though I think it's not an option to go to the photographer and ask if we could use the pose etc, for one I doubt a professional would really care what goes on in a children's adoptables website (lol i could have worded that better but hey it's true ;3; ) and in any case, it is only ethical / in good etiquette of any artist to always present original work
I'm not saying anything against anyone, I just wanted to mention the above >3<
