I prefer the old lines and I would prefer to see them kept. It is different, and I kinda like the difference. It shows how CS has changed sort of.

I would like to return, politely and on topic, to remind everyone that while Equimagine's lines may be prettyor you may prefer a cartoonish style to the newer more realistic style, the fact that Equimagine's lines are likely traced is still entirely relevant to the discussion.

Link to comparison images.

I just don't understand why this became a problem. Are people really that upset that most items don't fit the old lines?
I also never thought it was "weird" to have different horse line arts.

I suppose I'll be ok with whatever happens, though. *shrug*

That's going to change, and the new design is going to look so awkward! Oh no...

Actually, I think that one would look particularly adorable on the Yulyhn foal lines because the Yulyhn foal is rising. Get it? Rising with the sunrise? 8D *dodges tomatoes*

@ nifty and Gà, the Malk draft PPS is already on new lines, as those lines were all updated previously. ;3 It's not affected by this though, as it's a Malk and Tess specifically says in the front post that Malk's horses are staying as they are.

Personally, I'd love to see the designs updated. Of the ones posted in the front of the thread, they all look great to me (the ladybug took a little while, as it did the first time it was released, but it's grown on me now), especially that buckskin pony. <3 It would be a way to make all those old designs new again instead of just dusty old pets stuffed in a back folder and never looked at, and while some favourites might get changed, I can definitely see some new favourites coming out of it. ^^ I've been going through my Equi horses (for the first time in ages), and thinking on how awesome some of them would look on the new lines, particularly the ponies with their more dynamic pose, and there are only a handful that I look at and think "Eh, this might not transfer so well". I'd particularly like to see ones like the Disaster ponies, the Lightning pony, the Day horses (including the Sunrise PPS above) and any of the natural design horses on the Yulyhn lines. ^^

For those who are afraid of the old ones disappearing entirely, I believe there was mention of an archive to preserve all the old versions' images? I can't find the posts at the moment, but there would certainly be ways to keep the images of the originals even if the pets themselves have changed. :3

I have been playing since '09 and would miss the old lines, but I do think it is worth the change, it would give CS the "wave of change" that refreshes things a bit.

:c It'd still be so horrible! Why doesn't Tess or whoever try to get in contact with the photographers? One of the users on here knows how.

It's a little late for that. Their art has been used illegally for two years. Firstly, they have grounds to sue CS already if they really wanted. Secondly, that would be incredibly disrespectful.
"Hey, we found out recently that one of our artists stole your work. We're so very sorry that happened! ...Oh by the way, can we get permission to keep using it?"

They are under no obligation to give permission, and honestly, in their place, I certainly wouldnt.

Because it was used without their permission in the first place. You can't just contact a photographer and say "hey I traced your personal art for a pet site two years ago, hope you don't mind lololol" and expect it to go over just fine and well.

The linearts are art theft plain and simple, and CS should not be supporting that kind of behavior in any way. Just let them revamp the damn lines and designs, they'll all look so much more beautiful and organized in the end anyway.

The old Equinimagine horse outlines were spectacular, especially the unicorns :c
But i`d like to see the new versions by Yulyhn as well. I hope that they will be
beautiful but.... Will this change? Because I like the way it looks already :c
