Would the eqi horses that already exist change?

That's the point of this discussion thread - yes, the existing Equis (there aren't going to be any more from her anyway) would change, if the CS community decided that it wanted it. C:

I'm not sure what you mean by "would be lost forever," as the intention is not to delete the pets altogether, but to take the coloring and adjust it to the newer linearts? They wouldn't be lost, they would be transformed.

Part of their beauty is in their lines, though.
I think that it would just... Not be the same without them. I think that people really need to slow down and think about this for a minute-- its a big, big change.

I personally think that all of the Equimagine horses would end up looking a bit like April-foolish jokes, replicated from the "real thing" as a special event pet. Like what they do during christmas, making pets that look like certain items, if you know what I mean.

Think of the Rainbowmane, Buckskin/or/Dice PPS, or Malk Penguin PPS draft as new linehearts. It just doesn't seem right.

Again, just my opinion. I hope that I do not sound too rude or blunt, but I'm bad at explaining how I feel about things. <3

Although, I do like the new draft lines. BUT-- I do not want the old ones to be replaced. ;n;

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and no, you don't sound rude or blunt at all.

Those examples you brought up are ones many people have posted throughout the thread, but those are just a few examples and they're kind of the exceptions to the rule anyway. (What I mean is, they're a little unique to the general pattern of what exists for those linearts anyway. At least, that's what it seems to me.) And Tess did ask us to consider what would be best for the majority of the pets, not just the few/our favorites.

In my opinion, if what the examples we've been given are anything to go by, we have little to worry about as far as the updated horses/ponies looking like "April Fool's jokes," as the examples look absolutely lovely and don't look like they cheapen the original design at all.

Also, from what I understand, we're only looking at equimagine's linearts. I don't think they're discussing changing Malk's drafts, too, but I could be wrong.

Just because someone doesn't talk about them 24/7, hoard them, or have a collection of them does not mean they love the lines?

Now they have a reason to talk about it. Besides, the "yes" side is winning, anyways, which is the 'I don't want Equimagine horses' people.

The only reason I did not like the equimagine's horses are because of the designs. If I had one that I loved the design, I would've kept it, I personally love how the lineart looks a bit cartoony.
That said, I'm open to them being switched, but would the draft PPS change too? The malk penguin PPS looks great already, I DO NOT want that to change! XD

People can appreciate a set of linearts without being a "lover" of them.
A lot of people said they would prefer for the line arts to stay the same, not that they were OMG so in love with Equi's stuff
This is the first time that this discussion has been brought up, so of course this would be the first time you'd hear a lot of people's opinions on the subject matter at hand. And of course, there are a lot of people too that said they just prefer the old lines over the new. That doesn't even mean they like the lines, just that they dislike Equi's less XD

I am probably going to be told off by a few users by saying this, but I don't want the lines changed. That is like changing the Warrior Cat designs from way back when they came out to the current designs. Kind of. I don't know.

But I like the different looks on the horses and ponies, and changing them would cause some confusion (even with the same colours), especially for new-ish members like me, who aren't too familiar with pets. But don't listen to me, I am just the noob who knows nothing about pets in my opinion I say keep the horses as they are. but it's your choice, I am not going to quit CS just because of a design change, it's not going to kill me if I don't get my way.

I agree with Bolt to some extent, but they aren't as unpopular as people are making them sound. .n.
I have met some Equimagine likers before, and I am a bit of one myself.

I love how they're unique. I also have considered how they would all look { 'all' as in every horse- and not just my favorites. ^^ } with the edit, and honestly, I still don't really feel terribly fond of the idea.
I mean, its not like newer horse lines have much popularity either-- so why even bother? I understand that it would definitely make it easier to dress certain Equimagine horses in accessories and such, but other than that small perk, it doesn't really seem like a great improvement...

Judging by the votes, most people are in favour of changing the lines.

Personally, I love the old lines and think they are perfect as they are. They're beautiful and, even though people have difficulty with the items, I think they shouldn't be changed. It just, to me, would be a little odd to lose the beautiful old lines. I actually prefer them.

And about the 'sudden lines lovers', I actually am trying to hoard one of my favourite of the old linearts ^^

It's just that I trade with a lot of people and i've come across some people that have said in their trade rules that they do not accept Equimagine horses. :T When i've been around the forums people have said that they dislike Equimagine's lines too. And now all of a sudden apparently there are lots of Equimagine supporters?
