I haven't seen any discussion on age limits. I'd automatically assume that the positions were 18 plus, but it's good to check these things.

there's no age limit to be a cs artist.
if there was, it would be listed within the requirements/rules.

No, MS paint cannot open PSD files and you must be able to open PSD files to apply. I suggest downloading a free program that can open PSD files such as GIMP.

I saved the PSD file as a PNG and then made them a monochrome bitmap on Paint which then allowed me to colour them but the shading disappeared, is that ok?

You have to be able to work with PSD files to be a CS artist. Otherwise, you lose shading and other layers like you just said. If you are serious about applying for the role, you need to get a program that can open PSD files with the layers intact in order to make future pets.

No there is no age limit to become a CS Artist. If there were an age limit it would be clearly posted on the application. :)
